 Our Desktop/Web app can improve, and we need your help :desktop:

This is the topic dedicated to all problems you may face when using our desktop and web apps, big or small.

 What should I post here? :thinking:

  • if the app is acting in an unusual way, when you click on the menus and buttons, for example
  • if the player is displaying error messages, or if the playback is interrupted, let us know
  • if you're unable to login, or if the app kicks you out, we need to be aware too
  • if it simply crashes on you, when you connect or not to a device, it's better to leave a comment
  • if you have tips or workarounds to share, they'll be very welcome too

This topic is intended for version 4.20.0 and above, and for our browser version of Deezer :floppy_disk:

Hey team,

 

I’m getting an error every time I try switching back to older songs. I’ve just installed the latest version on MacOs (desktop) app and still getting the same issue. See the attached screenshot.

Thanks for reporting it to us. Is that 4.27.0? If yes, could you please confirm if this is happening on random tracks or always the same ones?

@Rudi confirmed still happening on 4.27.0

  1. Вы предоставляете музыкальный сервис в России, но не можете предоставить сайт форума на русском, не говоря уже про техническую поддержку. ROFL :joy:
  2. При попытке прослушать раздел Музыка и другие разделы Ваш сайт блокирует интернет и соответственно выходит ошибка что “Нет доступа к интернету”. Good job!:rage:

I am 20 minutes in to my Monday Discovery playlist on Hifi-Quality using 4.27. 

Still windows 10 Home 2004 build 19041.572

No instances of buffering at the start of a track so far! I’ll keep you updated as the day goes on.

I am a subscriber to Deezer hifi.

I use the Deezer desktop app for Windows (Windows store).

 

# Annoyance 1

Why do I have to keep logging into this app? Please fix this. There arent any good reasons why I should have to keep logging in to a desktop app (or a web app for that matter).

 

  • Just fix it. A long lived access token shoud do the trick.
  • Tell your devs.

 

# Annoyance 2

When I as a paying subscriber is trying to log into Deezer, I dont want to solve your stupid captchas. I want to be listening to good music, not selecting pictures of bloody bicycles and buses.

 

  • Just fix it.
  • Tell your devs.

 

The reason I write this post is because I otherwise love the service and would like to keep using it, free of annoyances.

sorry, if that has already been addressed, but I can’t use the media buttons with the Deezer App on MacOS. 
Maybe there’s some compatibility issue because I’m on the Big Sur Beta or have I just missed some setting?

Hello. Sorry for my bad English. Until recently, there were 100 tracks in my listening history, now it is only 40. It became very uncomfortable. Is this a bug? If so, please fix it. Screenshot from Deezer 4.27.0 for Windows, but the same story in the web version.

@Rudi Would personally like to debug with a dev if possible. I really like this app, and want to keep using it, but this bug is really frustrating. Faster they can collect data/logs on the playback error the faster this bug will be patched.

Running Deezer Version 4.27.0 (4.27.0.137) on MacOS 11.0.1.

The menus on the app are covered by the default Mac buttons (Close, Minimise, Full Screen). Needs some tidying up.

Just FYI, I’m downgrading to Deezer Family until this gets sorted (gapless playback would also be nice), so I won’t be available for debugging efforts. Apols and good luck!

My laptop has Dolby Access app (it’s an equalizer)

So, Deezer stops playing and shows an error message every time I change profile in dolby access

All other apps have no issues with dolby.

Hmmm, thanks for reporting it @nyje!

Have you contacted Dolby about it? It could be something to do with our API but we haven't changed anything at the moment. Any updates due to the Access app, maybe?

Having issues with the Windows desktop app:

  1. App seems stuck at version 4.18.60.  Is there a way to trigger an update?
  2. App often does not refresh, leaving a completely black client area.  Seen most recently on the “Music” page, then scroll down to “Recommended Releases”, click one, black screen.  Sometimes it also displays “An error occurred, please try again later”.
