Hi there, yes, you have the latest version. In your message, you said "When the connection is lost, it is impossible to listen to music". Are you downloading the songs and they aren't working? What is the error message?

There are no error messages. The songs are played only from the Internet. If the connection quality is low, the music just stops. I can't listen to a single song without the Internet, because the application does not cache anything or save anything. The application was given universal access. It definitely has write access.

I’ve contacted Deezer about the issue before, but it looks like the desktop version does NOT have an offline version. I’m on version 4.20.30 and I have to sign in EVERY time that I use it, which is pretty frustrating. This also means that it needs to open on the Deezer website EVERY time I sign in. Which is NOT offline. I have internet issues sometimes (rural area) so part of why I bought the subscription was the ability to use the offline version (especially on downloaded playlists.) But with all the ads you keep sending through (no, I don’t care about the latest playlists, thank you) and the requirement to sign in continually, this means it’s still drawing on download and internet connection. Please fix this!

What’s most frustrating was that on previous versions of the desktop app this wasn’t a problem.

Here’s what happens when I try to open an album:

After clicking the album name, I see a blank page. The only way to go back is to restart the whole application or click the menu button > File > Preferences. After doing that, I see an error and a Retry button. Clicking it doesn’t do anything. Everything else works fine - I can browse artists, see their albums, scroll through my favourite songs etc. I just can’t see the contents of any musical album.

What I’ve tried so far: I uninstalled the appplication, manually removed all its files (%appdata%/Deezer) and cleaned the registry. Then I disabled all my extra network interfaces so that only one was active. I turned off my firewall and downloaded a fresh Deezer installation. Unfortunately, the problem persisted even after doing all that. I would debug it further but there’s no access to DevTools in Deezer (it’s an electron application) so I don’t know why the error is occuring.
Technical details:
OS: Windows 10 Pro Build 18363
Deezer version: 4.19.20
Using VPN: no

I have reported it in another site of this forum, BTW

App has problems of memory leaks in Linux, surely it will happen too in windows. The memory usage increases  without limits while more time playing.

Can someone test in them machines if there is the same problem or not please? In browser is happenng too

On windows, if you click on window titlebar when window isn’t in focus and press Ctrl+[-], it gets smaller (the viewport zoom stays the same).

You can press Ctrl + Shift + [+] to make it bigger, even beyond 100% zoom

Hello @Alblinux, you’re right, the issue is known on our side by our developer teams. I know it’s a problem on Linux with the browser, I’m not sure about how important it is on Windows.

Hi @STeeL835, I tried and then I couldn’t zoom in anymore until I found your other comment saying you need to press on Ctrl+Shift+[+] :joy:

Latest version (4.20.21) under Windows 10 2004

Window loads up briefly then disappears. Program closes.

Tried reset, repair and uninstall. Nothing resolves this.

Not happy.

Same here...working fine up until today...window loads up briefly then disappears.  Start playing music then closes.  Not playing music and still closes.  Deeze hifi version 4.20.30   Windows 10.0.18363.  The app will not stay running for long ,,, then closes!

Hello @MickeyG, thanks for the feedback. Have you tried uninstalling the app, restarting the computer, downloading again the app from our website and installing it again?

Hi and sorry for my bad English

There are word ''Favourites'' and button ''shuffle my music'' under the menu and in '’Highlights'’ they are shown.

In other menu items they are not shown. There is only websites background

But if i click on the area of background, where in '’highlights'’ is located button, music starts playing

Also i can select word ‘’Favourites’’ and copy(Копіювати) it

Sorry if I wasted your time

Hi @Rudi

I’ve been using Deezer for a while (Android app and Windows desktop app), but lately few songs just stop.

When I try to select a later part of the song, an error is raised “An error has occurred, try again later”.

Sometimes it doesn’t show any error message (maybe because there was 1 sec. left)

Deezer 4.20.40 on W10

Is there any workaround to this issue?

Kind regards

Hello @Fabián Barón, try changing the audio quality in the audio settings, let us know how it goes

BUG

Hi !

I use Windows Desktop App. Every day.

I’ve Deezer Family subscription with 5 profiles : “A”, “B”, “C”, “D”, “E”.

I’m “A”.

Recently, I’ve create “E” profile (from the App).

When I launch Deezer App, the default selected profile is “E”...

Each time, I have to switch to “A” profile.

I tried to uninstall Deezer and reinstall from Microsoft Store… It’s the same thing…

It's annoying… :disappointed_relieved:

Have a great day !

Hello @Andrés Talavera, it’s because the authentication on the app uses the browser now, so I guess “E” is the one connected on the browser  So if you want to be connected as “A”, you need to connect yourself as “A” in the browser. Once you’re connected on the app, “E” can connect himself again on the browser but you should still be connected on the app.

Let me know how it goes!

  • Dodatkowe możliwości sortowania poprzez odwrócenie listy i wygodniejszy sposób wrzucania piosenek do kolejki (np jednym przyciskiem)

Hi there @Piotr T. Zubrzycki

Thank you for getting in touch and sharing your experience with us. For improvement suggestions, please post here :thumbsup_tone2:

And for the problems you mention, could you please let us know what OS and app version you've got?

Hey @Ray Stone have you updated the app recently? Have you tried uninstalling/restarting PC/reinstalling the app?

Hi Rudi,

yes I tried that. Deleted, restarted pc, reinstalled, no difference.

The web player has sound but is not gapless.

getting really fed up with Deezer, never had so many problems, I will be cancelling my subscription.

Sorry to hear that @Ray Stone. Have you tried changing the audio quality to HQ just to test it out?
And why did you mention gapless? Gapless for desktop is being developed at the moment, it hasn't been released yet.

Hi Rudi,

yes I tried HiQ but I’m paying for the HiFi level. It still did not work. It works if I use the webplayer. But that does not have gapless. Why is it taking so long to implement gapless?

why does the App. Not work?

Good job I’m not dependent on my computer.

Hi there Ray @Ray Stone

Gapless for web and desktop app hasn't been released yet. Our devs have been developing it for quite a while now. Once it's ready, I'll announce it here in the community :thumbsup_tone2:

If changing the audio quality didn't fix the problem in the desktop app, we can exclude one of the current bugs we have, which is being fixed. It was important for me to check this with you. Can I please have your OS and app versions? I'll have a chat with our devs about this once I have your details.
