I’m currently on the free trial and this feature (or lack of it) is what will probably end up being my deciding point on whether I stay with deezer or go back to spotify (since they’re getting hi-fi soon). The organisation tools overall on Deezer are not that good when compared to the other services out there I hope this improves so I will have a reason to stay here instead of looking elsewhere for a streaming service.

I’m not trying to say that spotify has amazing tools because they also have a lot to work on. I’m just saying that these are some of the features that were very useful and deezer is lacking them.
Also I’m now aware that you can remove tracks without scrolling all the way back up but there’s no way to edit my previous reply.

Indeed albums folders yes. I want them just as much as you do.
My Bluetooth mousy mouse does not work well, so I needed to click on Like of your comment five times for it to register. Perhaps due to battery 3%, but I will use it to the Zero to save money on batteries.

Sub-folders really must happen as its a true pain scrolling through loads of playlists that ive created. Let imagine that i had know imagination and every playlist i called 1,2,3,4,5 and so on to 1000, to be far not a bad way of naming !! but the problem it creates is i would need to scroll down to 999 to see my new playlist 1000. I might want to have sub-folders they would be called 1 - 100, 100 - 200 and so on , but now i have only 10 sub-folders this is perfect as i can search in batches.
Personally i cant fault your music app but its really the only bug bear i have. Can you please give me some insight if this is going to be a future consideration on an update ?

What’s the progress with this? I see this is marked as “ Replied by Deezer “ but I cant see where the reply is actually at.
I also come from Spotify and used this feature extensively. I’d love to make a switch over to Deezer, but the lack of this feature is a deal breaker for me.

As many here asked for it would be great to be able to create and make personal folders (genre or any other topic) by yourself for organize the favorite artists and songs in the app and web interface.

YES! Folders for playlists please. I’ve just come from Spotify and I loved the folder feature. I’m finding it difficult to organize my playlist library.

Another +1 here. Just coming from Spotify and all my folders of playlists have been just dropped flattened to a single list of playlists - that's tucked away inside “My Favourites” rather than put on a pedestal in the (mostly empty) left hand pane.
Not a great experience.

Just on a free trial from Spotify and I’m pleased with Deezer overall. But with my ~400 playlists, not being able to sort them into folders and sub-folders, as well as only being able to see them in large icon format on the Windows app, is utterly dysfunctional and a potential deal-killer for me. So if you can let us know an ETA for this feature, maybe I’ll stick around, otherwise I’m going to have to move on as 99% of my listening consists of playing my own playlists and it’s just too unweildy.

- Start Deezer trial
- Immediately discover only flat playlist organization with giant icons, no list view - basically the bare minimum possible
- Google “deezer playlist folder”
- Find four year old topic on community forum about playlist folders with nothing done
- Sigh, cancel Deezer, check back in 4 years?

I saw a community manager say (8 months ago) people were not being specific enough in this thread (??), so here goes.
Please give us the ability to make a folder for playlists. In said folder, give us the ability to add playlists (and subfolders!) so we can group them. Then, in the playlist tab, you could add a sorting option 'Folders/Maps/etc’ to select for the people who have made folders. There could also of course be a separate tab for it, whatever's the preference for the people implementing this feature.
For example (aka what I had in Spotify), I would like to make a folder 'Spotify Playlists’. In that folder, I'd like to have subfolders like 'Workout’, 'Moods’, 'Concentrate’, 'Roadtrips’, 'User Playlists’, that all contain the playlists I added. I'd also like to have a separate folders for my playlists like 'Musicals’, 'Soundtracks’, 'Albums’, 'Writing Music’, 'Older Playlists’, 'New Playlists’, whatever, everyone has their own things they want to sort, but if we can make our own folders, we can utilise it however we want!
Basically, look at how Spotify (desktop) allows folders. Many of us come from Spotify and would be delighted to have something similar with Deezer.
I don't know how we could make it more clear how a feature like this could work for so many of us. I have nearly 500 playlists. The fact that this feature isn't available despite the obvious demand for it over the years is a tiny bit ridiculous. I really don't want to go back to Spotify but I'm drowning in playlists, please help :(

This feature is pretty important for how I listen to music and use it as a productivity/relaxation tool. Its absence will probably make me stick to spotify after my hifi trial ends despite deezer’s better quality.
Coming from spotify, being able to create a folder hierarchy of “mix list”->”genre”->”individual artist playlist” would let me create my own daily mix lists which include the genres I’m in the mood for to keep things fresh.
Folders also give some essential organization, compiling self made and found playlists in a genre folder make it much easier to navigate to music. Having a single playlist layer is too overwhelming, and making genre compiled playlists requires too much upkeep.
Folders would solve all these issues, though one limitation of folders I’ve noticed is that a playlist/subfolder can only report to one parent folder. If you wanted to offer an even better organization service than Spotify/Tidal, adding a label attribute to playlists (similar to JIRA tickets) and being able to sort and shuffle play via one or more labels could be better?
Labels essentially being a meta folder that doesn’t dedicate a child item to only one parent folder. For more user friendliness, this system could be disguised in a folder UI and just let people add playlists/subfolders into multiple parent folders.

Tidal has a feature like this, Apple Music has a much better one. Spotify is mostly for casual listeners, so maybe that’s what Weezer aims for as well rather than active listeners and music enthusiasts.
