YES!

This is an absolute must have for many of us, I guess. Sometimes playlists are just too granular and our lists of favourites way too big. To be able to organize Albums, Artists, Playlists within groups would be a dream come true and also a major advantage over the other music apps out there.

E.g. the writing app “bear” dynamically creates folders and subfolders based on tags added to the individual note. With this given logic its so incredibly easy to organize single objects into a growing collection.

This might be a nice point to start out.

I’m also looking for a spotify replacement and this is something I’d miss very much.

I could also be a unqiue selling point for deezer as other hi-fi offering services like tidal and qobuz also don’t seem to support playlist folders or anything similar.

Our developers are investigating the best way to move forward with all different suggestions and opinions within this thread. This will allow for positive discussions to continue at Deezer so that we can improve the management of our "user library". Stay tuned for future updates

I think a library of performers from A to Z is quite sufficient, but albums should be allowed to be included in folders. I think it is logical, I myself have at home cd and lp divided according to individual styles of music or periods, some according to the artist. Please let us create our files and get our albums in order.

It should be possible to put albums/playlists into folders. Spotify has this.

But I would also appreciate if it was possible to put artists into folders. Because artists represent different genres :)

Please. I'm lost in my albums. Sorting from A-Z is messy in this case. For example, some compilations of vol.1- vol.xy do not all have the same initial name and are not sorted gradually but are scattered throughout the library, unfortunately it is not even possible to change the name of the album to adapt it to the library.

Deezer, where are you?

It makes no sense to wait, because this idea cannot be realized for 3 years!

I'm still waiting for folders feature. 

I'm new on deezer and i will decide to continue after trial period. The thing is, I have different type of music selections, different genres etc. however grouping in downloaded media seems really mess. Album section a lil usefull but for example, there is already 300+ albums already there and i have to scroll or search:)) folder grouping by albums/playlists, tagging this folders and playing by this folders would be so usefull. I hope you check this out immediatelly because i believe its so important for customer experience.

So far, I've had to use Spotify and Apple Music to also meet the features I want to use on my Apple Watch. Thanks to Deezer, I can now finally do without the two aforementioned services, as I can both listen to hi-fi music and also listen to music offline via the Apple Watch. Many thanks for this! However, I would like to join the many voices here - a way to organize his playlist via folder is indeed indispensable and it would be nice to hear an official position on this issue.

As well as the folder options to organise our favourite playlists, I’d also love to see something easier for favourite tracks, such as sort by genre. As others have said, it’s a bit disorientating going from classical to techno when everything is in one list. 

Just about had a gutsful of Spotify and looking to move to a new service. Deezer just about ticked all the boxes until I discovered no ability to create structured playlists. Deal breaker for me I’m afraid.

Also, using the PC app I can’t see any way of dragging multiple songs from a playlist/album etc to another playlist.

There just seems to be a rather basic checkbox system. Bit disappointed really.

Reasons I want to leave Spotify are: (1) no light mode - wife needs it and (2) no hi-fi quality. Guess I will have to put up with these problems for time being. I do all my heavy work on the PC app and, unfortunately, Deezer’s is not quite fit for purpose at the moment and Spotify’s is much more functional provided you now how to set it to classic mode.
