Hi @Lucelia.Mascarenhas,

It is possible to link your Deezer account to your Scrobble Last FM account from a computer/laptop using this link:

https://www.deezer.com/account/share

You should see the Scrobble as the option on the right.
@jbermellon I moved your posts to this topic as it was discussed here already. I've passed this on to the team and will let you know as soon as I know more.
I am using Deezer for about 2-3 months, first trial, now premium. I've been using last.fm for years now, so having the ability to do so with Deezer was a big plus. However, quickly I realized, Deezer made quite a few shortcuts implementing last.fm, seems like they gave the task to a summer intern.

Last.fm scrobbling with Deezer has multiple issues:

  • Not using "now listening" - songs are not actively being repoted as being listened. Instead, they are scrobbled after being listened.
  • Improper scrobbling - The biggest issue here - the track is being scrobbled even if you skip it after a few seconds. Sometimes I like to play something random like Flow and just skip the songs I don't feel like listening, so I listen to every fifth-or-so song. The problem is that all of those skipped songs get scrobbled.
  • Multiple scrobbles - sometimes (for me twice or three times a day) song gets scrobbled 5, 10, 15 times in a row, even though I just listened to it once.

Your implementation of Last.fm is broken. Even open source and freeware solutions have it implemented decently. Please fix the issue and implement it the way it should be.
this one got scrobbled 30 times

not cool

I'm sorry 😞 Last FM is aware of it, but no news yet!
Wanted to switch to Deezer from other music streaming service but it seems that scrobbling is not working on any of my devices, which is a no go for me, so looking for help.

Hi there. We have already passed this on to our devs and Last FM. Sorry for taking so long!
Hi! I've been using Deezer for a good couple of months now and I think it's pretty good. Recently I've come across a problem in the Last.fm integration, and this also happened with my girlfriend when she was using her account.

Basically, Deezer bugs and scrobbles an individual track multiple times, which in turn makes the stats on last.fm all screwed up. You can see this in the scrobble time - a same song getting scrobbled once a minute.

Why is this happening, and how can we fix it?

Thanks

Marc

Hi @marcelocked, please see above 😉
OK, I’ve got another problem combining with the same issue from scrobbling. Now I just noticed that "My MP3" tracks do not scrobble. I was using BlackPlayer for android for listening to my offline music but, now I was wanting to combine my online playlist on Deezer with my unique mp3 collection, so I uploaded some of my songs, and when I play them the scrobbling no longer happens... FOR A VERY LONG TIME. So: not only my MP3 (which are fully named and organized) are not generating scrobbles, ALSO playing my mp3 stops the scrobbling of any other song on Deezer for a time that seems to be arbitrary. I hope this helps for coming to a full scrobbling diagnostic that also gets this and other problems (duplicates, no scrobbling-now and no mp3 scrobblings) to an end.

If it's not clear, I'm talking about MP3 uploaded and played on Deezer.
The application for windows 10 is not doing scrobbles and, when it did, the scrobbles were duplicated or tripled, because it restarted when we paused the song.
@jbermellon I moved your posts to this topic as it was discussed here already. I've passed this on to the team and will let you know as soon as I know more.

@Anja, I find this movement kind of arbitrary. This is a "solved" forum, and the problems with the scrobbling that many of us here are reporting are far from any solution. Would you be so kind as to open again this discussion or to move to a new one named: "problems or bugs in scrobbling"?

Thanks in advance.

I see. Yes sure, I "opened" the topic again. We've passed this on already with all the details you gave us and our team is looking into it. We'll let you know should we get an update 🙂
@Lucas Ferreira I merged your post into this topic as it's been discussed here already 🙂 Our team is looking into this. I don't have any updates just yet, but I'll let you know when I know more 🙂
Disabling native scrobbling for now. I hope some day this gets fixed.
Hello,

Today I faced problems with scrobbling to last fm. Last fm shows too big quantity of listened track while I listened only once to it.

This is a known issue and we have already reported this to Last FM. I'm sorry for that, hopefully it will get fixed soon!

This is probably not a Last.fm issue, for many other services integrate well with it. Even when Last.fm has this kind of issues, they are temporary and corrected afterwards. This is most likely to be a Deezer implementation issue, as has been stated before in this topic: https://en.deezercommunity.com/ideas/324/index1.html#post47140

So you guys really need to take a better look at your code.
Hi there, I could see our developers are working on this. We are kindly asking for some patience on this, we will update you once we have more info 😉
Just want to report I have all the same issues as others in this thread. Using Deezer on the web mostly, Chrome on a Mac.

  1. Scrobbles taking a long time to appear at all (hour+ delay)
  2. Sometimes the same track that was listened to once being scrobbled 10+ times in a row inaccurately.

Hi there, thanks for the message. These are known issues that the devs are aware of. We will keep passing the feedback on to LAst FM too. Sorry thats has been taking so long to get fixed!
Greetings:)

I’ve downloaded both apps on my phone (ios) and linked them through website, but even though both apps are runnung, Last.fm isn’t picking any new scrobbles. What do you suggest I do?

Thanks in advance.
HI @xy22 that is strange. We are having issues, but it should scrobble anyway. You need to finish listening the song for it to scrobble, have you done that?

You could also try to disconnect the link in your account on deezer.com and reconnect. This should work also without having both apps installed and running. The scrobbling should work anyway.

I’ve listened to two albums for that matter, but it hasn’t picked a single thing. I’ve tried unlinking and relinking on deezer, once again to no avail. I will try to reinstall the apps as soon as I recharge the phone and will let you know if it solved anything.
