Song/Artist/Album isn't on Deezer - What happens if I can't find the music I want?

DEEZER CATALOGUE - something is missing :mag_right:

We're really sorry to know the tracks you love isn't on Deezer. Not all artists and rights' holders choose to add their music on our platform. We always respect their wishes so some music isn't available or might be temporarily removed.

Some of the reasons for this are:

RIGHTS' HOLDERS :microphone:

If an artist has a large discography with different rights' holders controlling different albums you can sometimes find gaps in the catalogue - if a certain rights' holder hasn't yet agreed to allow the music they control to be streamed online.

TERRITORY :globe_with_meridians:

Streaming rights are also defined by territory - country, region, location. The tracks that appear in the search box when you're looking for music are the songs that are available in all territories. In a small number of cases, a user in a different country may not have access to different tracks so an "unavailable in your country" message appears when they try to listen to it.

SO WHAT SHOULD I DO? :weary:

We're constantly updating and re-negotiating our agreements with rights' holders and thousands of tracks are added to our catalogue every single week.

You can try a couple of things:

  • Add your MP3 collection to Deezer :calling:
  • Contact the artist via their social media channels and request for the tracks/albums to be added to Deezer, we take care of the rest :nerd:

Hey @mohibo

Course they will. If they don't, then Deezer won't get the content either. The content has to come from them :relaxed:

@Rudi, Please forward the following, missing item to the catalog team - or let me know if there is a self service form. Thanks

Region: US

Artist: Eddie Money

Track: Looking Through The Eyes Of A Child

Album: Greatest Hits: The Sound of Money

Released: 1989

For some reason Deezer has a "re-recorded" version of this album that adds three tracks but is missing this one.

Thanks a lot @N-Fact I've passed it on to our catalogue teams so they can look into it - here's the perfect place for that

Did the same for your Interpol query @Foe :thumbsup_tone2:

I just want to request more Japanese music and more playlists.

I think Nami is the only one making Japanese music playlists and maybe you should hire another person to help her. I'm not saying she's doing a bad job, it's just that another person besides her could be a good help to have more Japanese music playlists and update them more often.

That's all. Thanks.

Hi so I'm using a US account and I wanted to know if you aren't allowed to make Little Mix's regular albums available to stream alongside their deluxe versions, as only the deluxe versions of all 5 are available and especially for their first few there are so many radio edits/acoustic/remixes of songs that although some might enjoy, I find annoying and when downloading they take up unnecessary space. Is there anyway to make their regular albums available as well as the deluxe, because I find this very irritating?

Gary B.B. Coleman is dead and there’s only one of his albums available on Deezer.

It’s not like I can just like email him and say “Hi, you’re not on Deezer, come on, what’s the deal?”

I had several Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band songs in my favorites:

Turn the Page

Still the Same

Against the Wind

Shame on the Moon

And now they’re grayed out, and it says, “This track is not available in your country.”

What? He’s an American artist, but I can’t listen to him here? What?  This doesn’t make sense.

There are some other songs that you used to carry that are now gone, but these really stood out.
