My Deezer account is being used by someone else

I have been a subscriber for a few years now. Starting today, I am getting the message that Deezer cannot play on my android phone because it is in use elsewhere. I know for a fact that it is not.

I have the family plan, and i have it on my and my wife’s phone. I have deleted on both phones, and went through the process described elsewhere in this forum. I then opened the web App on my computer and am getting the message there. I have also reset my password multiple times, to no avail.

I own and operate a WISP, so I know that my phone was not hacked as I am VERY strict about security and the apps on my phone and running through my network.

If indeed there are others using my account, then Deezer itself was hacked. If this is a programming error on a recent applied update, please acknowledge it and address it.

Sorry you've experienced the above. I've unlinked the devices from your account and sent a password reset email. Please change your password and login as normal, then let me know if the issue persists.

you have not unlinked my iPhone from my devices. It’s still linked on the app. I have reset my password and still get he same message. You never answered my original question. Have I been hacked???
This is the message I am getting.

I also have the exact same issue. It stops every 2 minutes, if I'm lucky.

I've reset my password, erased all devices from the settings, and erased the storage and cache off the phone application (where I use it the most), which is basically the same as deleting the app and reinstalling it. 

Some songs keep popping up in my recently played, constantly.

That could be because your account is indeed being accessed on another device. So I've unlinked all devices from your account and sent a password reset email. Please change your password and make sure the app is up-to-date if you haven't done so. If the problem continues, please let me know 😉
I simply can not play any music on my PC using deezer in my browser or using the app. It's keeps pausing the music and tells me that i am using deezer on another device or page which i don't. I had the app installed on my smartphone, but i am not using my smartphone when listening to the music on my PC. I started experiencing this problem about a month ago, maybe earlier. I have tried deleting the app on my smartphone hoping it would fix the problem, but it didn't. I also have literally no devices connected to my deezer account too.

Yes please do that. Never use same password anywhere else.

Do not use similar passwords you use or used.

I’ve been noticing lots of new music appearing in my favourites which I’ve never heard of and that I didn’t put there. My music has also stopped when I’ve been playing it as it said that someone else is listening.

 

I know that I can change my password but how can I sign out from all devices before doing so?

Hi, I noticed someone who is not in the subscription is using my account, I changed the pssword but this person still has access. It constantly shuts my music down saying someone else is using the device

Hello Deezer Community. I have an issue. I checked my listening history and there are songs that i never even have heard off. Also my listening history is kinda wiped? It only shows 40 songs i have listened to.

Could you please logoff everywhere so i can assure those people don’t have access to my account anymore? Btw i changed my password a few minutes ago.

It would be nice if you could look into that problem.

Apparently everything is working fine now. Must have been a temporary glitch.

i dont have any other connected devises or active app..

all unlinked.

 

why is dezzer site breaking all the time the music?

I found that I needed to download the latest version from the APP. store. Once I done that all was fine. It was just dumb luck that I came across this idea. So my problem is solved.

Your account needs some quick maintenance.

Write them on Chat, they are helpful https://support.deezer.com/hc/en-gb

Also please change your password to NEW one. Never use SAME password anywhere else.

Yes, they were able to help me right away in chat! Here’s hoping the uninvited visitor doesn’t come back.

Still raises very troubling security concerns re: Deezer, that this is happening so much… I hope they address this soon.

I think this process can be automated by setting up a subdomain on deezer for those who think their accounts have been compromised, and a survey on why they think it happened, what device they are using, etc. It would be a lot easier to manage that page than constantly writing back to everybody who has a problem with hacked account.

I reseted password already in advance and changed email account.

Now I have tons of weird Music in my “just heard” or recently played” list, and also recommendations for me are way from my style of music and I can not use this feature.

Question:

How can I reset and delete my “recently played/just heard” songs without deleting my other really created playlists? there is no option to do so, as with my own created playlists which I am allowed to delete

also: how can I reset my “suggested” music and begin from start again?

Hello, I'm facing the same issue.

I already changed the password, but still getting this message.

I have the same problem. I’m the only one authorized and keep finding songs I don’t listen to in my Just Heard playlist which is influencing my Flow…

How can this be resolved
