Hi @Rowan.Lugg the payment for Deezer Premium USA did not go through / got cancelled. You continue to have Deezer Premium United Kingdom.

Please let me know whether you wanted to change the country of your Deezer subscription 🙂

Hi there @Aiman Elboghadadi

Perhaps you're only getting local recommendations, as expected. Are you looking for an artist in particular? Check this topic here for more info ;)

Thats soo annoying, easier to change streaming service I guess.

Not Spotify.  My residence is in the US but I am in Ecuador indefinitely.  Spotify was able to set my residence to the US even though I am at an Ecuador IP.  I have been back and forth with Deezer.  Some reps say they can but don’t, some reps say cancel and input US billing information which doesn’t make sense because my account currently has US billing information.  Bottom line, Deezer can’t, Spotify can.

If you use the Germany ip, the same will happen with every single streaming service... 🙂

Y’all really need to get reps on these forums that have the same passion for music your clients have.

Thanks for your honest feedback @JadeRiver. Like I replied to you on another topic, we're working on that. I'm hoping to have more updates even by the end of this year :thumbsup_tone2:

I subscribed a Deezer account few years ago in Poland.

I recently moved in France and i would like to change payment method with my new French bank account but it doesn’t work.

Could you help me please.

Hey @Vertubleu ! Please check this thread for further info ;)

Hi there,

Deezer is asking me to update my payment method but i can't since i'm no longer in Jordan (country where i originally subscribed).

Now i'm in France,  i unsuscribe to be able to suscribe here in france but by default deezer is suggesting subscribtion in Jordan with the same issue of payment method (not ok) and no way to change country of subscribtion...

Can you please assist?

Hi there @zoubitom

Sorry about that.

I've had a look at your account and couldn't see any previous subscription from Jordan. The account is on Free and set to France. So I suggest you follow the password reset email I sent you and make sure you log in with the right credentials. Also, clear the cookies and cache of your browser - that should help when you're subscribing

Hi,

i need to update my credit card information. However, I noticed that my subscription has been set up in Norway. I am now living in Switzerland. When I enter my credit card information, this is refused as this is linked to a Swiss address.can you help?

Hello

I have moved from the UK to the US and I would like to change my country of subscription to US so that I can update my form of payment.

I tried to cancel my subscription and reinstate it but it is still associated to the UK.

Is there a way to make the change? Or can someone from Deezer do it?

Thanks

Ryan

Hi @Ryan.Simpson-Lando Happy New Year

I just checked your Deezer Premium account and I was able to see that you only tried to stop the payment but you did not cancel the subscription yet. Please take a PC or Mac (not mobile phone or tablet) » open internet browser Chromecast, Firefox or Safari » log into your Deezer account » click on your profile in the top right corner » click on account settings » My information tab » Manage my subscription » click on Cancel subscription

Once your Deezer account reverts to the Deezer Free version on 25/01/2020, you can activate a new subscription on the same Deezer account whilst being in USA. You will then have access to the Deezer USA music library and will get charged with the corresponding currency.

Please also bear in mind that you need to use a local payment method (payment method issued in the default country).

Please let me know if you need any further help.

Hello @sampasquier Happy New Year

I just checked your Deezer Family and I was able to see that your subscription was started whilst being in Norway, which is why you are getting charged in this currency. To change the country settings, please cancel your current subscription:

  • Please take a PC or Mac (not mobile phone or tablet) » open internet browser Chromecast, Firefox or Safari » log into your Deezer account » click on your profile in the top right corner » click on account settings » My information tab » Manage my subscription » click on Cancel subscription

Once your Deezer account reverts to the Deezer Free version on 15/01/2020, you can activate a new subscription on the same Deezer account whilst being in Switzerland. You will then have access to the Deezer Switzerland music library and will get charged with the corresponding currency.

Please also bear in mind that you need to use a local payment method (payment method issued in the default country).

Please let me know if you need any further help.

Thanks a lot for your reply, which is useful, but a little disappointing.

Happy New Year

Anne

Hello! I’ve had Deezer Premium for lots of time… But this December the payment did not happen (in my banking app i don’t see any refused payments, just no Deezer payment that month… and i was downgraded to Free. So, the question number 1: why did it happen?

I could have upgraded to Premium one more time but i’m in Thailand right now (i have a Russian account). Deezer offers me the payment in Thai currency and by Thai price which is slightly more expensive. In this topic I’ve seen advices like “upgrade when you return to your home country”. You can’t be serious! In my case that would be in 2 months. Is it the only solution? Maybe a Russian proxy can help? Thanks for an answer!

Hi there @Kirill.Korsun

Thanks for sharing your experience with us. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Please do get in touch with our support team here, perhaps they can sort something out for you

Hi,

@Rafael. I noticed that you were able to change the country for a guy on this thread. Can you do this for me? I just bought a monthly subscription for my family and I (while I am away in the states) and didn’t realize Deezer was country sensitive since I’ve always used my account in France.

Thanks!

Hi @Nathan Kapi I have changed the country back to France. However, since you subscribed in the US once the subscription renews next month, the country will change back to US.
Then what you need to do is to cancel the subscription, wait until the period ends and next month resubscribe in France.
I hope that helps and let me know if you have any further questions :relaxed:

I`m using Deezer in Nigeria and i`m trying to subscribe to a premium plan but the subscription price keeps showing in Dollar and not Naira.

Please, is there a way i can get to be in Naira (NIgerian Currency)

Hello @i_ancestor the new currency for subscriptions in Nigeria is dollars.
Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

Please @Jaime. is there any plans to amend that and put it back in Naira?

Because it's pretty much expensive to subscribe in Dollars.

@i_ancestor not at the moment, we have switched to dollars in a couple of countries and there is no plan in the short term to switch back to local currency.
Thanks :)

Hi! I registered on Deezer while being based in Russia, and my subscription is tied to my rubles card. I understand your decision to leave the Russian market as I also wholeheartedly condemn the war against Ukraine. That said (even though it’s strange to think about such minor issues in this context), I thought it would be possible for me to cancel my current subscription and activate a new one with an American card, as was recommended here? I can’t see this option at the moment and would really appreciate your help. Thanks!
