To the executive Team and Board of Directors, who do not give a crap about this small but important features and will likely not read this, since there is no way to contact them.

1) Stop forcing Users into the Windows-Walled-Garden-Storefront, Microsoft employee trying to establish since Windows 8.1

It says "Download App". But there is no download of the program.
Only a mandatory account subscription to Microsofts Store where one
1.1) Does not download, has any right of ownership. or can keep any programs (Apps)
1.2) is bound to Microsoft's policy
1.3) basically has the rights to be able to log-in to the account and use the programs (they call it trendy, nowadays “App”) as long as Microsoft sees it fit. That's it.

It is Microsoft attempt to make the open, free, bound-to-nothing-PERSONAL COMPUTER (PC) into a walled-garden ecosystem as Android and Apple successfully did years ago

2) Microsoft is going full ownership-/censorship-mode with Windows 11 DRM - it is called TPM 2.0 and will be updated very soon to CPU-integrated DRM called PLUTON (AMD Ryzen 6000 APU already have this).

3)The usual 1+ Billion PC users have no clue and knowledge of this and not even know that 20 years ago Microsoft and countless other companies, state and governments forced alliances and already did the same, and tried a DRM-Apocalype with myriads of backdoors for state authorities (spying and surveillance)

https://www.heise.de/ct/artikel/Der-versiegelte-PC-288536.html

https://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~rja14/tcpa-faq.html

Luckily people were smarter and more wary back then and wanted privacy, anonymity, freedom, protection of rights, ownership of software, freedom of the PC.

It was denied.

4)Now these alliances are trying the same, just 10 - 20 years later. Android and Apple already fell into this - now the last front of PC and especially Linux is under attack.

5) Microsoft walled-garden-you-own-nothing-storefront + Windows DRM-TPM = Shit world of PC and Linux

Stop supporting this. Give users to the right to download, use and update the program directly through Deezer.
Please tell that to the owners and higher-ups of Deezer. They have no clue about what is going on right now as the only thing they know about and care about is the service and money.

1 billion Windows users are in danger of this becoming a reality in a few years.
Stop it, do not support, before it is too late.

And also stop the same for the Apple and Android programs. You also only distribute them by Apples and Googles walled-garden-storefront. It is the same.

Thanks for reading.
Greetings

Well, the positive side of Electron apps is that they’re easily consistent with the Web version. But that’s also why it makes less sense to use a dedicated app. You might as well use just the browser.

Hello,

Some thoughts on the desktop app, especially on macOS:

App framework (mostly macOS oriented)

  • It’s based on Electron, which is regrettable. We’d rather have a Mac Catalyst app (please let us run the iOS version on Apple Silicon macs at least).
  •  It’s still not compatible with Apple Silicon (M1 and the likes). Spotify is.
  • As far as I understand, it’s based on a now unsupported Electron version. The framework version reads 12.0.4 (https://www.electronjs.org/releases/stable?version=12&page=5#12.0.4), which was released on April 21st, 2021, has been superseded with numerous security updates in the v12 branch (it ended at 12.2.3 on November 15th, 2021), a branch that has reached end of support on November 16th, 2021 with the release of the v16 branch (https://www.electronjs.org/releases/stable?version=16&page=2#end-of-support-for-12xy-1600). I don’t like running apps with security issues.

App features

  • We miss a AirPlay 2 option in the app. Please bring this.
  • We miss a setting to follow the system light/dark mode.
  • We miss a way to make feedback from within the app: error on lyrics, tracks, artists or features, ideally with a follow up.

Please make the best desktop app for the music lovers.

Best.

No one wants to Electron based App :(

I’ve just heard the advert for kid ink for the 3rd time in about 30 minutes.  This genre so so far removed from whet I listen to I find the advert impossible to listen to.  Rather than persuading me to subscribe, it’s had the opposite effect and I am going to listen to another app instead.

I love the Deezer app, but the ads are becoming too invasive too loud and too often.

Having to click the “play button” in web app?

Hello, lately it seems that the possibility to play songs by just double clicking them has dissappeared, meaning I now have to hover over the album picture to press the play button. This makes it harder to use in my mind, just clicking on the row/blank space to play is often times a lot faster.

Apparently this is only when clicking in a playlist, not in albums or artist profiles etc.

Windows app: could you make it so pressing space whenever the app is focused pauses/resumes the current track?

Right now it only works if I click on the app first (so not if I’ve alt-tabbed into it, for example), at which point I might as well just click the pause/play button.

Thank you everybody for the feedbacks!

I have a suggestion for Deezer on a MAC (desktop app or web version); it would be nice to have the ability to side-swipe when browsing! This is kind of stupid to click on the little side arrows when you want to navigate left/right!

You cannot believe how many times, I just side-swipe on my Magic Trackpad, to be like aarrrrgh… I need to click on that little icon <>.

You can already navigate up/down & left/right on a phone, so implementation should be a no-brainer.

Like this post, if you like this idea!

I would love it if when you're a minute, minute and 45 seconds, 2 minutes, 2.5 etc. into a song, and you press the back/replay button, it starts from the beginning of that same song again and not completely go back to the previous song. You can do this on mobile but not the desktop, and it's quite annoying.

Also, the progress bar of the current song playing does not work on touchscreen devices. I can't manually go back x amount of seconds or minutes,

.

Please implement the crossfade feature in the Electron built desktop app for Ubuntu/Linux.

Hi,

On the Mac OS X app (not iOS but the desktop Mac OS X app), may I suggest to have a dark/light mode following the system settings? That would be super useful!

Thanks!

Just saw the new web interface and to my horror I cannot find a way to have newly added tracks on top. I personally hate having my newest songs on the bottom because that would mean scrolling down about 800 tracks or more to get to the music I want. I usually listen to stuff I recently discovered so having it at the bottom is quite unlogical.

I do hope that I missed the option and it’s still there, if not please don’t do this to the app.

Hey there, the option is still there just a bit hidden, if you zoom out on the browser page you will see the voice “Added” and you can sort them by Recently Added from there./

I see another problem on Deezer.

This problem does not exist on the service I use now.

When on Artist pages I want to know exact length of the track. I queue songs based on this.

I can’t see this info on the Deezer which makes ARTIST pages on Deezer not very useful.

Do we really need to see this big banners ?

I came to update playlists for Deezer people and again was shocked by these tremendous banners.

Looks like they’re designed to scale to full width of the page. Normally the page contains only four “squares” for me, and when it’s the case, the banners don’t look tremendous - they’re as big as two squares. But when I maximize the window, they do look too big. Maybe scaling should be capped at 2x squares, leaving more space around the banners if the screen is more than 4x squares wide.

Here’s what I’m getting normally:

This banner is fine, what you see full screen is gross.

It would be really useful to have the option of sorting unfavourited tracks to the top or bottom to make deletion easier when you have a LOT of tracks in a playlist. Every other column can be sorted the way you want except favourites.

It would also be helpful to actually see disliked tracks marked in the same column, probably with a broken heart, and sort by that too. So that you can, for example, listen to a playlist, dislike some tracks, then save the rest to another playlist.

What I liked in Google Music it was simple thumbs up and thumbs down.

None of these mainstream services add it since discontinued Google Music. I bet they will discontinue Google Movies as well for YouTube movies. The dislike option is really good, but it should be seen on release. I want not to hear thumbs down song again ever when on release. I can’t see that.

The joke is YouTube Musics have it, but their app is hot garbage I’ve ever seen compared to GM.

Thanks. I’ll pass your feedback to our team.
The official release of the album is on the 8th October, but the label provided 4 songs as a pre-release to all major music streaming services.

Here it is:

It’s probably new and/or rare. The first time I see this on Deezer. Other services do have this.

Hey @Gaffer13 can you please share a screenshot of the available tracks and the ones with a calendar icon in order to investigate and pass the feedback to our music team?
Thanks

Just noticed a pre-release album on Deezer, with only a few tracks available - and the rest having a calendar icon in the track list. Would appreciate this icon also placed on the cover art, so that it isn’t an unpleasant surprise that the album isn’t fully available. Or mark it in some other way.

Is gapless still going to be added?
