Hey @slunks

Thanks for the feedback!
Here's a link you can bookmark: https://www.deezer.com/desktop/download/artifact/win32/x86/5.0.0

Hi @wildcardNS I've passed that feedback before as well, it's not that time yet but definitely agree with you we need to tackle it :relaxed:

I'm also waiting for an update on our Alexa skill, I just know it's work-in-progress. But you can follow any developments by staying tuned to our community, it'll be properly announced

Thanks, @MattNicholas interesting suggestion, it could be aligned with mobile as you said :thumbsup_tone2:

Please make it when you click the Back/Previous Song button, it replays the song (like on mobile) instead of going back to the previous song that was played.

Can you brighten the color of the top menu bar on Windows app? I don’t know if this is controlled by you or by the UWP API. I drag the app around a lot and it would be nice if the draggable top bar was a bit easier to see in the daylight. Sometimes it’s the little things :)

Also, is there any way to “follow” progress on the upcoming Alexa skill update?

It would be great if the exe for the Windows app was made readily available, rather than being pushed to the Microsoft store. I bet there's a lot of people who don't touch those apps, like me, and would appreciate the ability to download an exe, which can be installed as needed.

Hey @torales

That's on our radar (an app for the M1). The new version of our app, coming soon, should fully integrate with the touch bar and control buttons. We'll just need you to test it

Thanks a lot for the feedback on the feature @snaut it's always super nice to get good criticism on stuff we work hard to provide our users with :hugging:

Hi

For Mac users would be great the native apple silicon compatibility as well intregration with the touch bar or control buttons for the macbook air.

As well in the app when the screen goes off the next song does not play, which does not happen in the browser player.

Thx

Just wanted to give a thumbs up for a well implemented feature. The normalize audio setting is available from the main screen and takes effect instantly. This is good, I can turn it on for casual listening to mixes and quickly turn it off when listening to a complete album.

As well I want to make Deezer consider improving UI of their Settings on Web / Desktop apps

.

Generally very bad decision to have almost 8 tabs where on few tabs only few to see.

As well you need to click More tab to gain the rest just for few to see.

I am coming from Google Music (discontinued) where Settings was just one page. You just scrolled it from up to down and it was as easy as that. I feel like on Deezer is too complicated as you see.

You need to go from one tab to another and as well remember to check out More tabs.

May it be improved as well, thanks.

Hi there.

I use Deezer soon for a year.

I think generally everything is nice, but Profile seems to be hard to use on Web App.

Why it has so many tabs? You need like to click back and forth to get relevant information.

I heard that Followers feature will be discontinued, that is great as it would clean 2 tabs. However. There’s still much of them remaining and let’s face this problem. 9 tabs afterwords still too much.

Can it be reduced somehow? Perhaps add some features to other apps?

My personal opinion:

MP3’s I do not use nor need seperate tab for it.

Perhaps show option only inside playlists as MP3 playlist?

Mixes I do not use often and have only 5, perhaps keep them under playlists as another section just like you have “Collaborative playlists” or “Added playlists” besides the “Own playlists”?

Play history does not work with 40 tracks only. This could be transferred into a playlist as well?

My main aim is to say that currently profile requires too much of clicks on these 11 tabs.

Can it be worked as on Android I do not have this issue.

I want from Deezer minimalist clutter free experience and I know you can do it in Profile too.

Everything else is super fine in your app, so clutter free and minimalist.

Is there anyone here to add in this discussion about Profile UI on Web App/Desktop App?

Thank you!

Totally understand what you're coming from @james hifi

This should be an option we can consider after the major updates planned for the app very soon. In the meantime, please register your support by voting here:

I just tried the desktop app for the first time tonight, I hit the close button and it kept playing, took me a few minutes to realize you minimize to tray when the close button is selected. That's a big no no for me (it's an autism thing about unwanted noise)

Most programs that do this have a setting to change the behaviour so the the close ("X") button actually closes the app.

Hey @alokinanak

Thanks for reaching out. It isn't on the roadmap yet but it's on the plans.

We're very close to releasing an updated version of our desktop app, and after that, we'll be looking to develop something that can fly on an M1 :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Battery/RAM performance should be improved with the next updates, in the meantime :thumbsup_tone2:

Does anyone have a road map of when the optimised arm64 architecture build will start coming out? It drains battery a lot quicker this way. Thanks

Hey @2lazytotype

Thanks a lot for your honest feedback, I totally get you. The request exists for as long as I've been Deezer's CM, so I understand. Developing a new feature, in any tech company, is a matter of prioritisation.

It's in our scope for this year, to be honest. But we don't know much more yet because the current priority is to fix some of the current issues with the app and improve its performance and reliability. I invite you to check after your trial, after a while, and perhaps I'll be able to give you more info about a possible equaliser :thumbsup_tone2:

I am currently on the three month HIFI trial for deezer. For the most part the desktop app is ok. It plays music and its pretty easy to listen to albums. I looked online and people have been asking for a desktop EQ for a couple of years at this point. I’m not really understanding why this hasn’t been integrated yet. It’s really turning me off from purchasing a subscription. I think I would rather stick with spotify/equalify until they come out with HIFI. Just food for thought and I am aware it might not be the companies main priority, I just have expected it to have happened sooner.

This is very interesting feedback for us @jjd I've passed it on, straight-away, verbatim. Thank you for your contribution! :relaxed:

On the web app at least - I haven’t used the desktop app - the transport controls are uncomfortably far from the center where the playback position and track details are located. The Deezer website is adaptive, and on a 4K screen, this can be even more annoying as the distance can be bigger between the two sections. More so when the window is maximized.

Maybe also have the album art on the left of the playback and track details section to separate transport controls.

@studilaroche33 that's the menu bar on Macs, so yes - I use Brave too, by the way

Haha, we use Brave because it is the safest browser we could find, look at this, I really like it because of this:

Click on this, it right next to the address bar, this is really cool:

This is what it shows if you click it, it blocks ads & trackers! It IS AMAZING!!!!

I’m really lovin’ Brave!

Amazing feedback @tyllerj @Andrey Nikolaev

You're true fans of the desktop app like me!

@Andrey Nikolaev

Number 2 and 3 seem like essential features. Number 1 sounds pretty cool, so can I ask you to create a topic for votes in the ideas section here?

It should remember the zoom, I agree @tyllerj

I'll pass everything on now. Have a great week!

Please take a look at this picture:

Look at this arrow:

This is at the top of my screen. Is this:

the equivalent to the minimi on other computers?

Hi! These are the things that IMO keep the Mac desktop app from being virtually perfect (apart from already mentioned gapless playback):

  • There's no hotkey to highlight the Filter field (which is strangely also labeled "Search", the same as the global Search field)
  • Zoom in should be [Ctrl/Cmd =] instead of [Ctrl/Cmd +], or maybe even both, since some keyboards have numpads; mine doesn't
  • Sometimes, on a relaunch, Deezer seems to forget which zoom % it had in the last session; but if you try to zoom in/out again, it works as if it suddenly remembered. Example:
    • Run Deezer
    • Go to "Albums"
    • Zoom out to 80% or something
    • Quit Deezer and launch it again; zoom will be visually at 100%
    • Go to "Albums" again
    • Zoom out once; now we're at 70% instead of 90%

Since there seems to be no way to edit post.

Addition to #2: would be great if there was posibility to assign global hotkeys to some actions, for example to change deezer app volume without openning window at all.

While I can only speak for myself, I generally prefer to keep global volume constant, and only change in app volume in media applications.

PS. My system is Windows 10.
