▶ REPORT HERE: Error in a track/song/album


Hi,

I have experienced an error in a couple of tracks. How and where do I report errors?

The error in question is that the song jumps back to an earlier verse at a certain point of the track. Then, when there's 0:00 mins secs left of the track left it doesn't stop, but carries on playing until the song is over.

It's been doing this for "Enemy Inside" by Dream Theater (studio album version) and "In the name of love" by U2 (the best of...-album)

The last song of the album is incorrectly at the beginning of this album on Deezer. So all songs are displaced by one position and all songs titles are wrong.

The song Selfish Love by Mabel has a glitch in it at the 1:35 mark. It skips to later in the song with an audible corruption in the track.

It does not sound distorted on my laptop or mobile. The issue is probably linked to your device, can you try claring cache? Let me know if the issue continues!

Clearing the cache did not help. But I realize the song plays OK on other device and in the browser. Will I need to clear data in addition to cache. Does this mean I will have to redownload my library?

Plot twist. The song plays normally after switching regions on my phone i.e. after connecting to US VPN. I was previously listening from Jamaica

Track no. 7: Nightporter, has a rather peculiar problem. I love that song, but it’s annoying how I have to find the song on a different album to even be able to listen to it without issue… it’s lucky another issue exists in the first place.

 

The problem with it is when you stream it normally, it seems to go through its entire 7 minute duration without problems. However, when the track is downloaded… the track skips like crazy, and is cut down to only 3:50, making it almost impossible to listen to.

 

Is it possible this can be fixed?

On iOS app i have no problems with this track. 
Downloaded in HiFi quality an playing fine. 
Are you on Android?

Try clearing Cache in app settings an downloading again. 
Also try using device memory instead of SD card or formating SD card if clearing cache doesn’t help.

I'm on desktop, playing on the Deezer application (NOT the one from the app store), also I don’t have the Hi-Fi subscription (only the regular Premium) (also, streaming in 320 kb/s quality)

Regardless, I feel like this issue has persisted both before and after clearing download cache.

I can‘t reproduce the problem. 
I tested Deezer client app (version 5.30.250 from MS app store) on my PC with audio quality settings to MP3 320. 

Streaming and also playing download has no problem in general and with this track in special.

So imo it could relate to the client app version you have installed.

5.30.260 here, but the problem's persisted across all app versions. Oh well, I guess I’m not sure what exactly causes this problem then if it seems to happen only on my side, aside from me recently figuring out it’s related to downloading the song.

At the very least I can find another studio version of the song which is otherwise identical on a compilation of theirs… even if it doesn’t have the exact same sound quality.

 

Do you think I should give deleting cache entirely another try? Since the last time I did it was months ago, but I remember even before that I had the same issue… so I don’t have a good feeling about this.

Yes, i would give it a try if last attempt was months ago. Perhaps in the meantime other users reported a corrupted track file and it was replaced on server. 
Only „risk“ for you is loosing your downloaded data and having to redownload it.

Two tracks are missing on Deezer but are on other platforms. :(

The Song With Arms wide Open by Creed shows the wrong artist “Cream” and shows the wrong album art. The track appears in the correct album: Greatest hits by Creed, but if you click “view track source” that takes you to the Cream album. Its also pushing the wrong artist info through to Last.fm

When I used to use Spotify that track never even appeared on the album…

Sick by Adelitas Way has two glitches in it where it skips. Skips are at 0:26 and 1:33.
