▶ REPORT HERE: Error in a track/song/album


Hi,

I have experienced an error in a couple of tracks. How and where do I report errors?

The error in question is that the song jumps back to an earlier verse at a certain point of the track. Then, when there's 0:00 mins secs left of the track left it doesn't stop, but carries on playing until the song is over.

It's been doing this for "Enemy Inside" by Dream Theater (studio album version) and "In the name of love" by U2 (the best of...-album)

Hello, I have quite a few reports about errors in albums:

The volume is all over the place, even though it should have one consistent mastering for the whole compilation, regardless of the “volume normalisation” feature. It is weird because this compilation is perfectly represented on Spotify, so I suggest you message the label to provide you with the real 2015 Remasters that they used for Spotify.

Lastly. these 3 albums have 2 second gap at the end of the tracks, which should not be there because it should be played with gapless transitions:

We have detected a few glitches on the song, playing it on our Deezer desktop app. 

We will request a new re encoding of the tune/album so hopefully this can be done very soon.

Dear Admin,

I have a problem with some of my songs I have downloaded on my playlist which are not playable anymore. These songs used to play well with no issues, but since yesterday, they are no more playable (sounding like they are downloaded from a scratched CD). 

I tried repairing them but no change. What is the problem? And how do I correct this issue?

I am using Deezer application on an Android device (Samsung galaxy A51)

@Rudi should we also report tracks that seem to be incorrectly tagged as being unavailable in our country? 

For example I was just looking at an artist and saw that a track was missing from one album as “This track is not available in your country,” but the same track is available on their other albums. 

To me this seems most likely to be an error, but perhaps it’s totally normal in the wacky world of music licensing.

Here are a couple of apparent errors visible in my USA account. 

In this album, track 11 shows as not available in my country. 

 

In this album, track 5 is blocked for the same reason.

Yes. Cache cleared and also check it through deezer web as well. Leet Mob - My Story is 2:42 long on deezer which is not the full song.

Well i tried it on both my computers and my phone and cleared the cache. on computer it just spits out an error at the first skip point

What is the error? 

The whole song sounds distorted

 

It does not sound distorted on my laptop or mobile. The issue is probably linked to your device, can you try claring cache? Let me know if the issue continues! 

Clearing the cache did not help. But I realize the song plays OK on other device and in the browser. Will I need to clear data in addition to cache. Does this mean I will have to redownload my library?

Plot twist. The song plays normally after switching regions on my phone i.e. after connecting to US VPN. I was previously listening from Jamaica

This is not the correct track, it is a completely different song by another artist.

Album: Inner Voyage- Gonzalo Rubalcaba

 

Something seems off, the piano sounds heavily distorted. It doesn't seem to be cd quality or something. Going back an forth between tidal  qobuz and deezer. Something is off with the version on deezer. Is it a lower bitrate mp3? Also the contrabass is less articulate. Could this be fixed? I love this album :)

I can‘t reproduce the problem. 
I tested Deezer client app (version 5.30.250 from MS app store) on my PC with audio quality settings to MP3 320. 

Streaming and also playing download has no problem in general and with this track in special.

So imo it could relate to the client app version you have installed.  

5.30.260 here, but the problem's persisted across all app versions. Oh well, I guess I’m not sure what exactly causes this problem then if it seems to happen only on my side, aside from me recently figuring out it’s related to downloading the song.

At the very least I can find another studio version of the song which is otherwise identical on a compilation of theirs… even if it doesn’t have the exact same sound quality.

 

Do you think I should give deleting cache entirely another try? Since the last time I did it was months ago, but I remember even before that I had the same issue… so I don’t have a good feeling about this.
