Deezer is nor working with Squeezebox anymore

Me and several other users have trouble using their Deezer account with mysqueezebox.com Since two days it is not possible to login from mysqueezebox.com to Deezer. We talked to the developers of the Deezer plugin and they gave the following answer:

"FWIW: I've reached out to Deezer about the failures we're currently seeing. I see in the log files that those auth calls time out. They're not refused, nor would we get any error back. They just do not react at all."

As I understand you need to give a new configuration to the mysqueezebox.com configuration? Could you please give us this configuration or a direct technical email contact with a person who will respond? There are plenty Deezer X Squeezebox user having this issue. We do not want to move to Spotify or Quobuz who give support to mysqueezebox.com

Please help us!

I also have the same problem. I would like to use deezer in the future. But I need the support for the squeezebox.

I got the following answer from deezer support:

 

Thank you for your message.   Unfortunately, Squeezebox is not a supported device by Deezer, so we do not have any troubleshooting for it.   Please be so kind to reach out to Squeezebox support for assistance.   Kind regards, Osvaldo Customer Care Agent

We are in contact with one of the Squeezebox developers. He says that a Deezer developer would have to update the mysqueezebox.com configuration so that they could switch over to a OAuth-flow. Unfortunately, they are not able to get in contact with one of the Deezer developers. That is the reason I try to get a direct contact to one of them with this thread.

I do have the same Problem. Deezer is not working anymore with my Squeezeboxes. I'm a Deezer Family User and don't want to change to spotify. Please answer the requests of the squeezebox developers in order to keep the Squeezboxes connected with deezer.

I hope some deezer developers are reading the community comments. In the past I got always great support from the deezer team (also on the deezer app on the squeezebox server) and I was a bit shocked by the answer above.

I have the same problem since yesterday. I always get “Invalid username or password.”.

I’m having the same issue, no deezer access via our home squeezebox system for the last few days.

 

Its unfortunate, as 90% of our family’s deezer use is via our home squeezebox multiroom system,  if not fixed we will have to go with another provider.

Same problem for me too. I've been using Squeezebox and Deezer for a few years now and it's been great, now seems completely broken 

Some years ago i’ve changed from spotify to deezer for using it in the Squeezebox. Now it’s broken… if it’s not resolved …. Bye bye Deezer

Same here! No problem for years, but now I can’t listen to Deezer using my Premium Account anymore with Squeezebox.  Please help.

I also have the same issue… If it’s not resolved, I will switch to Spotify. Spotify seems to support more devices and/or in a better way.

I am also disappointed because of the lack of functionalities when using Deezer with a third party device. I also have a Sonos system but precisely looking for another solution, and It was the same thing. I also read posts of other users speaking about the same limitations on different third party devices (For ex. just the general/standard Flow, not all the different flows…). A lot of the things you find on the Deezer smartphone app, and mainly the value-added ones, are missing. It seems that the APIs are not taking into account all the Deezer functionalities.

And if you add the recent design change (What an awful logo, It looks like the logo of a low cost dating site)...

The same here. It is no longer possible to use Deezer.

Using the Deezer app is not an option for me. I love the Squeezebox and would like to select music via this device.

mherger has long wanted to improve the Deezer interface.

I have always defended Deezer. Even though all my friends use other streaming services.

Will we be forced to switch to the compeditor?

I have the same problem and as deezer has once supported squeezebox. It was the main reason to start using deezer premium and now for several years deezer family. If this infrastructure might not be supported anymore I should think about leaving deezer. So please pay attention to your loyal customers. Thanks

It's the same problem here. Since yesterday it is no longer possible to log in via mysqueezebox.com.
It would be a shame if I had to say goodbye to Deezer this way.
I ask the developers on both sides to find a solution.
That would be great.

Same problem. Deezer working with mysqueezebox.com was one of the reasons why I moved from another serveice to Deezer. If not fixed it may also be the reason I will switch again.

Tidal works well on the Squeezebox. First month free.

Tell Deezer, they shoud talk to mherger. Perhaps he can help to fix the problem. 😉

I have the family subscription for almost 7y. Of course, if Deezer is ignore Squeezebox users, it will mean that it’s time for change the music provider. I am considering Tidal.

Please help !
