Deezer is nor working with Squeezebox anymore

Me and several other users have trouble using their Deezer account with mysqueezebox.com Since two days it is not possible to login from mysqueezebox.com to Deezer. We talked to the developers of the Deezer plugin and they gave the following answer:

"FWIW: I've reached out to Deezer about the failures we're currently seeing. I see in the log files that those auth calls time out. They're not refused, nor would we get any error back. They just do not react at all."

As I understand you need to give a new configuration to the mysqueezebox.com configuration? Could you please give us this configuration or a direct technical email contact with a person who will respond? There are plenty Deezer X Squeezebox user having this issue. We do not want to move to Spotify or Quobuz who give support to mysqueezebox.com

Please help us!

Has been working again for me since Monday now.

Good news that Deezer is talking to mherger!

My Squeezeboxes work for me too again 😁

Oh I did not know that Hifi is now automatically a part of the family subscription. It was once only a option.

Probably changing the password and login again at mysqueezebox could help. Didn't work for me. When I upgraded to Hifi there was no flac streaming with my old deezer account. I had to change to a new account.

@gdchillnew My account is Deezer Family , which should contain FLAC….or?

@akeidel There is flac with deezer. Don't you have the hifi account or does it not stream with flac with the squeezebox. I had this problem and had to create a new account.

Works for me too again! 

In the slimdevices forum mherger mentioned he is invited by Deezer for a call to talk about Deezer in LMS whithout the need of a mysqueezebox.com plugin!

Perfect. Works for me, too.

But now by the situation I’m able to compare the sound quality….what should I say….Deezer sounds a bit muffled in direct comparsion. My need is flac / losless….Money ist Not everything. I wouldn’t have paid much money for my equipment to have such quality…..but i will now listen very carefully…..I have 30 days for comparing.

Started to work for me too. Just after I opened a Tidal account and here is the problem I have now: cheaper and looks better quality :). Playing a bit more to be sure,  but to mee looks like this issue will push me away from the Deezer  subscription. At least if they don’t upgrade us to FLAC as a compensation😁

To be honest, one day it works, another day not. I’m frustrated by Deezer. As a paying customer I can expect, that Deezer takes care to hold the customer. What I see or hear sound to me like excuses. It's in the interest of Deezer that also Squeezebox users are satisfied. So telling me that I have to open a case at Logitech is not really customer focussed. Why is Deezer not reaching out to Logitech to fix the issue? I feel like beeing in a Ping Pong game. In the meantime I have registered at Tidal and Qobus with a 30 day free account to see, If everything is working well. My birthday is very close and i don’t want to entertain my party guest’s with live radio...or singing children songs by myself.

It is not the first time with Deezer that I face such problems. Last chance ist today evening, otherwise i drop.

@ Dr. Alexander Ceccucci-Völker  that's the problem with the login. You see this page, if the login doesn't work. You have to wait and hope until monday. I hope there is going to be a solution.

Deezer, I join in. I also need this fixed, or my whole Family would have to switch to another streaming service. We have 10 players in our house that stream Deezer via LMS. No way to exchange a multiroom system and stay with Deezer. Please restore the service.

My Deezer shows only some channels Rock/RnB/Dance etc. Where are my Favourites? Where ist the Search?

Yesterday it worked again. Now it’s not working anymore :(

Well let’s wait for monday since deezers official statement is that on Monday it should be fixed. Fingers crossed..

Same here,

streaming from Deezer over LMS with six devices (3 Touch, 3 Raspi) working for years until four or five days ago.

Plz fix it.
