For some reason the desktop app (OS 😵 doesn’t keep me logged in, so I periodically need to sign in again.
Doing so requires spending 2-3 minutes clicking on pictures of traffic lights and fire hydrants.
This is absolutely ludicrous behaviour for a *desktop* app. Honestly, the desktop app shouldn’t auto-logout at all. If you are so worried about robots, then switch to 2-factor authentication or something.

Hi all,
Thank you for all the answers provided so far - very helpful! Our developers who are investigating this problem have asked for more info from you to speed up the process. Could you please tell us:
Do you have to log in every time you relaunch the app or is this happening every time the app gets an update?
When you get logged out, can you log back in straight away or you need to restart the app?
Have you downloaded the app from the Windows Store or using a direct link for the .exe file?
Let us know the most you can, it can help us fix this quicker
Are there plans to resolve this? As of April 2021 I still get this quite frequently. I am a paid user, I get asked to log into the Deezer app every few weeks and have to fill in several panels of Captcha, which is kind of ridiculous.
I am getting sick & tired of this login / captch stuff. (Deezer 5.2). A friend of mine recently moved from Deezer to another music service. The next time i get kicked out of the desktop app and asked to login, there is a good chance that i will also leave. There are a few other things that annoy me with Deezer, but i have learnt to put up with them. All it takes is a “final straw”, like this (years old) login problem.
Apologies for the experience @Zargron - I'll make sure to pass your comments on - this is something we need to improve. Please bear with us a bit longer

Yet again Deezer app demands login via browser. Are there many others experiencing this?
As @dee_dirk has mentioned, the desktop app for Windows is only available as a 32 bit version.
Thank you for your feedback related to the Vivaldi browser; we will pass it on to the team so they will be aware. Could you share with us a couple of screenshots of the issue, if possible, please?

Maybe the Vivaldi browser deletes the authentication?
Therefore, it would be quite interesting whether the constant login is necessary after you have done this once via Chrome or Firefox.
The desktop app for Windows is actually only available as a 32-bit version.
DELETES THE AUTHENTICATION!
Why the heck should Vivaldi pay courtesy to Deezer? What authentication model are you using? When i change browser, reinstall browser, clear browser history, i do NOT have to go all around my system re-establishing authentication for all my other applications.
Sure, i expect to lose some browser specific settings and so forth. But i don’t have to log back into all my other online apps. Those apps don’t care what i did with my browser.
Thanks for reporting. Yes, we've got this under the radar. Once you update to the next version, please let us know if the problem persists
And again - Deezer requested login via browser the other evening!
A few friends over my place, juggling food & drink preparation and other hospitality duties “What about some music?“ a friend petitions . “Just fire up Deezer.” i reply across the void to my friend. Oh no... not so easy - login required again! A most unwelcome, and surely avoidable interruption to the flow of life.
When i get a moment later this month, reckon i’ll take my list of Deezer annoyances and hop across the webasphere to another music facility for greater satisfaction and better service.
This one i almost find acceptable since it involved an update (from 5.30.60 to 5.30.80). On the other hand, considering it was a minor update, as evidenced by a change in only the “minor version number” , why did i have to login again?
Every time you log out from your account and then login again in the desktop app it will ask you to login via browser. That’s normal behaviour
Thank you Jaime. I’m well aware of that. The point is, i don’t logout. Randomly, one minute i’m using the app, next minute when i try to play something it’s asking me to login. Doesn’t happen “all the time”. Every week, two or three.
That’s weird definitely. So the problem in that randomly the app logs out and then you have to login again via browser?
it was pretty bad, more than once a week. I guess it must be within acceptable frequency these days (once or twice a month), otherwise i would have left by now. Need to figure out why i’m still here. What makes Deezer special? What distinguishes Deezer from other streaming services? Anything? I guess one way to find out is to move to another service for a while and try it out.

I see it on my Windows computers too. I also never log out. This still happens.
Whats more annoying is that it happens in the TV app (Samsung) and the damn link does not work to activate through a mobile browser. So I have to write it down and go into another room to sort it out.
I guess you want security for your apps. Do you know what is more secure? No customers. Then you don't have to worry about these things at all.

That’s pretty annoying A.LeC. At least i can deal with my login issue on the same machine in the same room that it occurs. This is not brand new technology. That’s what bothers me A.LeC. It should be sorted.
Sure, once in a blue moon, make me log back in. If that is the price for the convenience of having a massive music library at my finger tips. But what classes as “once in a blue moon”? Oh well. At least i don’t have a hole in my shoe.
