For some reason the desktop app (OS 😵 doesn’t keep me logged in, so I periodically need to sign in again.

Doing so requires spending 2-3 minutes clicking on pictures of traffic lights and fire hydrants.

This is absolutely ludicrous behaviour for a *desktop* app. Honestly, the desktop app shouldn’t auto-logout at all. If you are so worried about robots, then switch to 2-factor authentication or something.

I was searchin’ for this, I thought I was the only one having this issue. I’m on a Mac, Mojave OS.
Hope it gets fixed before the trial period ends, it’s extremely frustrating and to be honest, a deal-breaker.

Just took me 10 minutes to solve captchas and feed Google AI - AFTER i entered correct credentials. Thanks Deezer.

If I get captcha one more time, i’m unsubscribing from this service.

Hello all, we understand your opinion and we agree as users. Our teams worked on this, we are now expecting an update from them and we will let you once we have more information. The new version should be much more user friendly in this regard. I know the waiting is very frustrating, and I’m sorry about it.

Have a nice day

Same here - the constant logging-out and capcha with buses or hydrants is really annoying and I am almost at the point of cancelling my subscription. Guys are you going to solve this anytime soon? I used Spotify before and never had such a issue like here.

Thank you.

Hey  @Migue @jan.potocki @teqteq @AMircea @Oguzcan Yavas!  I am sorry about this, but reCAPTCHA is just a security procedure to protect your Deezer account.

Please feel free to share your feedback  here  :)

It keeps protecting my Deezer account from myself. It protects me from getting what I paid for. On the long run, it will protect Deezer from getting money.

Until you stop getting my money will be a rather short run, though.

A deal-breaker indeed. A thousandfold deal breaker.

Hi it is really annoying!!!
Is there any way to avoid this?

I want just play some music. Start Deezer app aaand….
1) I have to enter email and password
2) I have to “pass” google verification clicking on pictures (not one, but more - neverending) - takes really too much time an nerves.

The similar frustrating is in my android car audio. I am not online every time and in those cases
I can not play music downloaded, because login failed!!!

uff, really considering to stop subscription.., :(
Or is there some solution?

I am one of the many frustrated desktop app users. Will not add anything new, but would just like you Deezer guys to come up with a more user friendly login procedure, fast. I was already annoyed by it many months ago, but expected it to be due to a faulty version. Not the case, as I read these threads.

Make it simply two factor authentication with use of an autenticator app if you want to secure your logins (and prevent abuse of the subscription regulations, I assume). I would be quite happy with that.

Hi. As a user with a HiFi subscription I would expect to have a more decent way of logging in and not this mockery. It’s beyond infuriating to see all the comments in this section and no action taken from you to modify the login captcha options. To spend every 2-3 days half a minute selecting captcha to be able to listen to your paid music. Are you kidding me?  Please pay a decent programmer to update your application to 2020 if you don't want to end up with a lot of canceled subscriptions.

You guys did it and lost a subscriber (me). The waiting was indeed frustrating, but I quickly fixed that by moving to another (better) service. 😁

Gurys, I’m not able to log in to account I pay for with your stupid captcha!!! When the new version of desktop app (you are still talking about) will be available??? I’m thinking about to quick move to another service which will not protecting my account form myself.

Hi @Otas @korg250 @LucianP @Michiel Hageman @ViktorkaSK @meingottwalter @lowbig and all

Thank you for your feedback and for your patience.

Our desktop app version 4.19.30 is being rolled out and it has a web-based login that should address some of the worries we've been having. We'd appreciate your comments on this :thumbsup_tone2:

When???

A month after I have added my posts to the many voices desktop version has crashed about 20 times mid song for no reason. Won’t even start again unless instances are killed in the task manager and then every time I restart all I get is a blank screen or a sorry an error occurred, retry. I’m waiting for those utterly godawful maddening stupid google captures to reappear probably after I kill this dumb app for about the 6th time.

Cmon!!!

Hello @kororo, uninstall your current app, restart your computer and download the new version (4.19.30). This should fix those issues (Captchas and blank screen).

Let us know how it goes

Logged me off again. Capcha appears again, Friday, May 29.. These Capchas are disrupting user experience.

I don’t like that desktop app logs me out and after that I have to solve a lot of stupid images.

WTF? I have login and password. Why it is not enough?

This recaptcha nonsense + too many white screen moments… I’m cancelling my subscription. Sorry guys

Hi there @skaface @Uno777

Fair enough, thank you for your honesty. Have you downloaded our 4.19.30 version? Our devs have been working hard to fix these issues :v_tone2:

Hey @maxserpentini

Our 4.19.30 introduced a web-based login option to alleviate the inconvenience of the captchas to you all - please download the version from the store or our website :v_tone2:

it would help to provide the link to this download.

Hello @maxserpentini, here you go:

Windows : https://www.deezer.com/desktop/download/artifact/win32/x86/4.19.30

Hi,

On desktop I am constantly logged out, and then have to go through the infuriating process of working for Google for free to be able to access something I am paying for.

It makes absolutely no sense to ask the user to solve a captcha *after they provided the correct password*. It adds no security whatsoever.

You keep saying you will solve this, but it never seems to go away. This is really not acceptable.

Cheers

Telmo

Hey there @Telmo Menezes it's all sorted on our side, please see above for more info! Thank you for your support

It seems to be working fine now. Thanks Kevin.

That works (finally)… just as I was thinking of switching to another streaming service altogether for this reason alone! Please could the download link on the site be updated to this version, as I downloaded twice in the last few days thinking that a reinstall might help with the failure to login (even with the correct password and captcha responses). But the version on your main site is 4.19.20, not x.xx.30.

Thanks for fixing this - it was a major disincentive to using your service (which I love in every other respect).
