I'm thinking of trying Deezer again towards the end of the month.

Today I listen through Spotify and enjoy the ability to control the software on a computer (Mac).

The possibility to create folders and organize the music is also important to me, but I want to hear in hifi what doesn't exist and maybe won't be on Spotify either.

I read that Deezer recently added the option to control from the phone on the computer for everyone.

Until recently, this feature was in the beta version and I remember that I had a lot of disconnections (the connection between the phone and the computer was not stable) even though the internet is in the same room with me and it is extremely stable.

Is it stable, reliable?

I have an iPhone 12 and a Mac (2018).

I would love to hear what you think?

does not work with Dynaudio Connect box for wifi / hifi streaming to Dynaudio Xeo series speakers. The Dynaudio Connect (which is DLNA enabled) does not appear in list of devices.

provides absolutely nothing useful for me.

Any plans on adding this to the Xbox app in the future (or updating the app in general)?

Tried it on my iPhone and it just beachballs after I select Connect.

You can ignore my post above. It was answered in the forum. Sorry for double posting.

I wanted to do the same thing as you, but Deezer Connect is not supported on Fire TV Stick. 

But I found a solution which isn't that difficult if you have technical understanding. 

- sideload the "Apptoid" App using the "Downloader"

- in Apptoid there are 2 or 3 different Deezer Apps. Install the normal Android version, not the one for Android TV.

- open the new Deezer App and enjoy using the remote function 😃

If you don't know how to do the steps from above, just search on Google.

Deezer connect expanding…

Sonos support for deezer connect rolls out for France. 
 

@Superschlumpf apologies for the misinformation (my bad).
Sonos support for Deezer connect is not available in any country yet and there is no ETA either.
What we recently launched in France and the US was Deezer on Sonos Voice Control and support for the Flow Moods.
As soon as I have information regarding Deezer Connect I’ll let you know

Pointless without proper Chrome cast support 

Casting to Chromecast Devices should work fine again. Are you having any trouble?

I can cast but simple features like controlling the volume from the device volume button or the “Play Next” or “add to Queue” options are not available when using Chrome Cast

What devices and Deezer Player are you using?

I have no problems controlling volume and skipping with casting to a HDMI chromecast v2. Using Deezer app on iphone. 

My Wiim Mini is not found either. What‘s the point of Hifi sound quality if I can‘t bring it to my good old stereo? This can‘t be that challenging to implement.

Why can software companies not define proper standards and keep updating them? Imaging USB and ethernet being replaced by special connectors for every single manufacturer which are deprecated every two years due to lack of support.

I‘m sick of every tech company doing its special little thing. You all over the same services, you‘re not special. Grow up. Develop standards. Hardware industry was able to do it, so could you. Just look at Bluetooth, USB, Wifi. Or electricity via AC. Or even screws…All work flawless. So should streaming over a network. It‘s been around for long enough.

Great that there is progress. Really can't wait for SONOS control in the Deezer app. 

I get the same issue 4 different Samsung Android devices ( 3 phones and 1 Tablet ), My friend also gets the issue on his Google Pixel.

The Cast devices are Nvidia Shield, JBL Speakers and a Chrome Cast Dongle - the behavior of these is identical.

To control, the volume I have to open the Cast popup window, the volume button on devices do not control the volume of the cast. This is a real pain as I have to open the device and navigate to Deezer to adjust the volume.

When casting the context menus of a song for Play next and add to queue are missing.

Note -  I’ve not mentioned I had a issue with Skipping a track, This is working fine?

Not when using Bluetooth on the same android devices to a Bluetooth speaker these function work perfectly

You can not compare bluetooth playback with casting.  They work completely different. 
With Bluetooth it’s absolutely the same as if you use the Deezer App ob your phone. The stream comes to the phone and is forwarded by the bt connection. 
 

With casting it’s another way… your phone is just a remote control to initialize the stream. Then it directly comes to the casting device and the features that are supported depend on the possibilities of googles casting protocol. So you can’t use the deezer app like you normaly do with streaming to the phone. 

Has anyone managed to control the deezer xbox app yet with this new connect feature ? 

Xbox is not supported by deezer control. 

Yup, I upgraded to 7.0.19.60 before christmas, it started to work somehow…

Today I tried latest beta (7.0.21.1 beta). Sady, it does not work, it says “you cannot play on two devices simultaneously”. I just want to control tv from phone, whatever… Although, 7.0.21 has nice rework of UI, I went back to 7.0.19

Just be aware of…

This isn’t an official support solution. If it works for you… be happy. But there‘s no support for any issues with such use cases. 

It doesn’t work for me.  First of all, there is no “audio output” button, but I did manage to find Deezer Connect in Audio settings / Audio Output.

I have two Android devices; let’s call them S21 and S7.  S7 is playing music and I want to control S7 using S21.  The current songs appears on both devices, so I know there is some sort of connection - at least to the server.

However, S21 cannot see S7.  If I skip to the next track on S21, it starts playing on S21, not on S7.

What can I try?  Is my setup going to work?

I guess S21 is running latest deezer app version from google play store… but does the S7 also?
