Deezer hifi is not of much value unless you specifically own an Sonos system or play on computer app. The developers need to get it on iPhone and android apps - would obviously expand the listening possibilities and give Tidal some competition - tidal is good service but the Deezer app is far better. Also. I have my Deezer account Set up on my bose sound touch systems. Would be perfect if it supported the hifi option on these

Hello Deezer. The FLAC quality should also be enabled in the browser. There is absolutely no excuse not to go ahead. If on the same PC machine it can be streamed via dedicated app then it can be streamed directly into the browser and played back. Does not matter whether mobile or desktop browser when going to deezer.com.
I'm coming from Tidal HiFi, and I've just started my 30 day HiFi trial here with Deezer. Of course, the first thing I do after installing the app is to set the audio quality to the highest available - but wait, HQ is the highest setting? I install the desktop app, and nope, there's HiFi.
So apparently there's no HiFi available on mobile devices with this service? Disappointing. I'm still interested in what kind of experience I'll get with Deezer, so I'll definitely stick with the trial, but FLAC quality audio on mobile is a huge feature for me because I listen primarily in my car using Android Auto. I anticipate that I'll have a hard time justifying the jump from Tidal when my Deezer trial ends, because it's a big step back from what Tidal currently offers.
Hopefully this feature becomes available soon - this seems like an otherwise excellent streaming service.

Hello deezer! On behalf of all users, please make HiFi support for smartphones. As soon as it becomes available, I will be your first customer.

I too want hifi on mobile and ios devices. As a hifi subscriber and one that has invested in several great headphones would love the hifi streaming ability, as that's what I pay for the service. Limiting it defeats the purpose. Challenging to justify maintaining subscription if mobile devices are not supported.
The problem here is that most mobile devices doesn't have a good sound card, because manufacturers and users (not all) want to slim them. A good sound card needs space: less interferences with electronic components and more refrigeration
Many mainstream apps allow to play flac files on Android, so most handsets would be able to handle the format. HiFi comes with a special subscription on Deezer so you can bet that the related users would be interested.
It would be OK if it were only available on some devices, people would understand they need something compatible. But not available at all on the number one mobile OS?
I had a Cowon iAudio7 about twelve years ago, one of their smallest and cheapest audio player but it played MP3, WMA, FLAC, Ogg Vorbis, WAV, and ASF audio files without any troubles. Yet you would have us believe that today's manufacturers can't get decent music components to fit into slim designs? Even though they know how much it matters to people, when you see the reactions about the possible absence of headphone jacks on the next Samsung phone?
It's like crossfade, not available on Android or the Windows app. The Jetplayer could do that 16 years ago on Windows, and same on Android when the first music players arrived...

Interesting feedback, @77cats . Thank you. We'll pass it to the right team at Deezer, as we've been discussing HiFi quite frequently now.
I have a high-end system, and all I wish for, it the option to play FLAC files directly in the Deezer app via AirPay to my system....please, Please, PLEASE. Your app is SO much more intuitive and nicely build than TIDAL. I just need this last change before making the switch... 🙂
Thanks for the feedback @Henrik Abel Larsen we'd like that to happen too! We'll keep the topic updated in case we progress with the idea
As long as comments count as well as votes... this is an important thing for me as well. With the availability of small hi-fi DACs that can easily be plugged into mobile devices, this feature would be really awesome to have.
I'm one of those who can easily hear the difference even between 320kbps MP3 and FLACs, on some of "airier" songs with lots of details. So it's frustrating to go from your home FLACs to the phone's sub-par MP3s on a Hi-Fi subscription. Lower quality does work on the go of course, when there's lots of noise around you probably won't hear the difference, and yet it's not the reason not to have highest available quality on mobile devices.

Hello, just bought hi-fi plan. Playing music via Yamaha Musiccast and its still showing MP3 not Flac (as it does for Tidal). Do you have any tips?
Where can you see that it's mp3, not flac?
Have you finally decided to add a flac to android? I tried tidal and he is so good with flac on android! I do not want to go on tidal. Please do it
Wow this topic is so old, i have a Deezer hifi and i’m a iphone/ipad/ios kinda guy but think this never going to happen. Maybe better wait for spotify go lossless
Why is it that i got a bluesound mdc bluos 2i and i can not play any lossless on the device. Deezer got agreement with Bluesound but still can’t play it on Bluos app on ipad?? I pay for Deezer hifi and i can’t get
Hi there @Rolanddekok
Have you checked this with Bluesound directly? If you have an iOS device, you can choose to stream HiFi from Deezer Labs. Check it out and let me know 😉

Hi there @Rolanddekok
Our catalog on HiFi is now so big that the app will stream in FLAC if the audio settings are set to HiFi. So no need to look specific for FLAC tracks.
If you can't see the HiFi option in Deezer Labs, have a look at our Beta program here 😉

Deezer mp3 320 sounds excellent, but i would like to be able to stream in FLAC on my smartphone, because when i listen to Psytrance i can hear bigger soundstage and more air on FLAC file.

So all of your catalogue is available as FLAC now, i.e. more than 53 million tracks?
And are you saying that the beta version of the iOS app offers HiFi playback already in the Deezer Labs settings? What about the Android app and the web player?
Hi there @bluezzbastardzz
Not all of it, we currently have reported 56 million tracks and 52 million of those are already available on HiFi. So pretty close, our best ever.
Yes, iOS has this test feature under Deezer Labs for streaming HiFi to other devices. Just like Android has other Labs features iOS doesn't have. The reason for testing is to get it developed across different platforms but some features are easier to implement in specific devices.

Just started by 30 day trial for Deezer HiFi, and am a little disappointed to find out that i can't listen to flac quality on my iphone. Ex-stream-ly disappointed. The differences between mp3 and flac become even more apparent with headphones, and I do a lot of listening with headphones. But this is twice as expensive as spotify, and HiFi playback is limited to certain options. Kind of a bummer.
Hey there @Claus.Juergen.Walde
We're sorry that's the case. We haven't stopped working on improving the HiFi experience, but it was initially designed for HQ speakers which offer the feature as well. I'll be passing your feedback on, thank you for your support.

I don't see how Tidal and Qobuz can manage hifi even MQA quality on android and iOS but you guys wont even try to bring Hifi to smartphones. If the Hifi experience was designed for high quality speakers why can we use them with high quality headphones too? I want to like Deezer but finding out you cant even stream HIFI from my galaxy note(which supports whatever is needed to stream hifi) makes me really glad i got a free trial.
