In fact, there is HiFi option to stream to devices (like Google Cast), but other properties (mobile, wi-fi, download) don't have it.
I see that other people have such option, is it related to OS/country/device?
Lack of mobile HiFi is one of two big disadvantages of Deezer (second is absence of DLNA) and it would be great finally to get one of these features.
No updates specifically about this. But we're working on making our HiFi available in more platforms. So please bear with us a bit longer
That's odd, it might be that the feature is limited to a number of users. I'll check that and get back to you.
Hey
Thanks for your timeÂ
Hey,
Â
I am long time Spotify user but recently I have got really interested about Deezer because it's HiFi - feature. I could be straightly ready to move to Deezer when this feature is available on mobile (Android). How soon this would be available atleast for beta users?
Hey
Thanks for the honest feedback. Not sure how soon yet because we weren't given a timeframe from our teams yet. But we've been told this is in the final developing stages. If everything goes well, we should expect more news by the end of this year
My trail Hifi subscription is ending soon i was thinking of buying 1 year Hifi subscription but godddd! No Hifi for IOS and Android this is just a waste of money! I have a High End Burmester sound system but this problem is stopping meÂ
Hopefully not for too long,
I dropped Tidal because of the constant focus on/pushing of music I don't listen to & have been testing Deezer & Qobuz for about 6 months now. I prefer Deezer's interface & love Flow but being locked to a computer to get even CD quality audio is just ridiculous (especially considering I listen to music an avg of 4-5 hours a day). Qobuz offers much higher quality tracks than you (up to 24-bit/192k) but it's hit or miss & most people don't even have headphones/Amp/DAC that can use that but they still make it available to stream or download on your phone. I don't want to kick Deezer to the curb but you guys are taking your sweet time with a feature that is essentially already there (the app supports HiFi/lossless through casting) & I'm tired of paying for 2 services just to be able to enjoy my headphones or IEM's when away from the computer. Right now it's either have Jay-Z abuse me on Tidal or deal with the quirks of Qobuz to get the music I want in decent quality (cruddy compressed MP3's & AAC are for the troglodytes). Keep in mind, you guys barely make the cut for 'HiFi' audio & still don't offer anything better than 1990's quality audio (16-bit/44.1k) much less any kind of Hi-Res streaming, on any platform. I'd say some fires need to be lit under the devs hineys
Â
On that note, is there even any talks about offering any true HiFi sample rates (anything 16-bit/64k or higher)? It'd be amazing if you guys got into the actual Hi-res /24-bit market but based on how slow it is for just basic lossless streaming to be available, I'm guessing that's not going to happen.Â
Hi there
Thank you for your detailed feedback. Good news is that you can now stream from Android Beta on our HiFi quality. The app update has just been released
About increasing the quality of the HiFi offer, all I can say is that it isn't on the plans for now - but this is because we're maxed out working on features we want to release by the end of this year. So hopefully we can make a discussion out of it in the near future.
The release notes for version 6.1.14 say that HiFi streaming “will be enabled in the coming days.” So this might happen on Halloween, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Hanukkah, Christmas or Super Bowl.Â
I'm new to Deezer Premium and already feel that the HQ sound quality is very good. I love the HQ SQ when casting to my Nvidia Shield feeding my DAC. I'm looking forward to moving to HIFI tier when it becomes available to see if it makes an significant sonic difference. Heck this is the first service I've used that actually makes streaming to Google Cast in HIFI possible.Â
Hey
Â
Thanks for your feedback and fingers crossed! :)Â

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm assuming HIFI is already available via Nvidia Shield via Chromecast built into unit. Please confirm that this is the case.Â

my Android phone with Deezer Beta version did show the “hifi” indication with played songs on Friday nov 1 .    But it came back to HQ the next day and since. The app still has the “hifi streaming to devices” selected. Is this just an effect that HiFi is Beta?
I guess they might switch HiFi streaming on and off at the moment or rather before the weekend in the Android beta app which I don’t have anyhow. The HiFi streaming in the desktop app is constant though, version 4.17.20 shows an audio quality indicator on the album cover in the play queue which confirms this, and only very few tracks stream in HQ, i.e MP3 at 320kbps.

Try again.Â
Wow! It works for me on Android with Deezer Beta. Now just wait for linux app being ready and I think I found my streaming service for good!
I have HiFi available on my android device in the UK. I am on the beta version of the app
Is this only coming for Android, and not iOS?
Not sure, but there is one Reddit user in the related Deezer subreddit thread reporting that it also works on iOS for beta testers now. Note that you have to be a HiFi subscriber as well. And you have to install the latest iOS beta version of course.
