Hi. I would be happy to see asio and wasapi support in your windows desktop app. Tidal has this function and in my opinion it really smoothens sound and makes quality slightly better.

Thanks for the feedback @yurakgn, please vote for this one too: https://en.deezercommunity.com/ideas/491

People paying additional money for the HiFi subscription will do this to enjoy the best audio quality. Because ASIO and WASAPI support is missing, use cases to fully enjoy the HiFi sound are limited:

  • Windows to DAC: impossible to let the DAC control the sample rate. All tracks will be resampled by the Windows Audio mixer.
  • Android to DAC, using USB: same issue.
  • Android to Amplifier, using 3.5mm jack: possible, but support for the 3.5mm jack is declining. And this also completely defeats the purpose of a dedicated external DAC.
  • Android to DAC, via bluetooth: possible, but the bluetooth compresses the audio signal again. So what is the purpose?

Offering a HiFi subscription without proper external DAC support, is imo completely useless. Please get this working.

Hello @StevenC, thank you for your feedback, we’ll forward it to our teams.

Have a nice day

Tidal is now offering an annual subscription (via Best Buy) for $120, Qobuz offers an annual subscription for $150, both support Exclusive mode and have higher quality than Deezer HiFi at $180 per year.

I much prefer Deezer but paying significantly more for lower quality is hard to justify. Supporting WASAPI/ASIO/DAC would be a good first step for Deezer to be a true player in the high resolution/audiophile market. Until you do so, as I said, it’s very hard to justify the higher price compared to those other players who offer much more in sound quality.

Thanks for the feedback @frgabriel. The price of the HiFi subscription recently decreased, and we’re working on a new catalogue of offers for the future. I think you’re right from a technical perspective, we do need to work on this.

Have a nice day

Just starting using Deezer.  Very bummed that there’s no way to bypass Windows audio/mixer with Wasapi or ASIO.  Heck, I’d pay extra for this!!

Please add ASIO & WASAPI support for desktop application!

Hey @Smirnov.ua @Soundchasr

Lovely to see more support for this integration, please keep them coming!

I'll forward your comments, don't forget to vote if you haven't done so :thumbsup_tone2:

It's been almost 3 years since the original post, and it's a shame that Deezer's Support didn't take it seriously. Due to the low level of complexity of the request and the demand being justified, I see that unfortunately we will not have Wasapi / Asio in the app, as there has been more than enough time for this to have been implemented. That seems to me grudgingly.

Thank you for your honest feedback @Kadavro

I'll forward your comments on. I believe we need around 100 more votes to be able to push the idea further. Due to our size, we need to deliver other features with higher demand, but don't worry, we'll get there eventually :pray_tone2:

Тема держится уже не один год, доаольно странно? Deezer, ты развиваешься или топчешься на месте?! Тема с интеграцией в Roon ползет как черепаха более 3 лет!  Asio как не было так и нет, Deezer , вы похожи на отстойное болото , где вязнут все желания и идеи пользывателей! Очнитесь уже !!!

Don’t know why developers waiting for 2 years already?.. I’m going to other sTreaming service. May be back later, bye

just listened to number of tracks on qobuz and in deezer, qobuz actually sounds more detailed than deezer, deezer flac is fake

Hi There! I would like to have asio and/or wasapi support too.

Hey guys, is there any updates? Two years

Updated idea status In discussionNot for now

когда же уже появится поддержка wasapi\asio!!!

I came to Deezer from tidal, as Deezer is the only hifi device that provides an inbuilt eq (only an inbuilt eq will work with wasapi exclusive), I instantly cancelled as there is no wasapi exclusive mode! No HiFi streaming service provides both an inbuilt EQ and wasapi exclusive, having those feature would give Deezer a competitive edge over the competition in the HiFi / audiophile space

I'm pretty confident allot of audiophiles pay the extra 10 pounds/dollars per month for room just to have these 2 features with a hifi streaming service. This is allot of potential customers that could save by switching to Deezer if wasapi exclusive was supported (or to another hifi service such as tidal if they added inbuilt eq first)

Realy ….   3 years left and no ASIO or WASPI support ,????

Lossless without WASAPI is useless. Windows audio mixer will never patch the sample rate and bit depth of your tracks which means you cannot get a bit perfect output, so there is no point. Its a shame because a lot of people will move from Tidal due to MQA issue and Deezer offers a nice UI/UX, but if it cannot do bit perfect, its automatically ruled out for options like Quboz. This should be top priority if you market yourselves as lossless.

Come on Deezer, it has been over 3years since OP request. There is even a stack overflow on how to do it on windows: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/65717405/how-do-you-use-wasapi-in-exclusive-mode

Turns out folks have been asking for this for years, but Deezer is hiding something about their “FLAC” and won’t say what.  They just keep saying “we need more votes or we won’t offer true HiFi, just Windows Browser based audio, but pay us more and we will call it “premium”.  Then they go on about the file format being FLAC and the catalogue growing, like that has anything to do with the issue of advertising hifi without the means to connect your DAC without extra noise and sound going through the OS just because Deezer is lazy.  I wanted to like this service, I really did.

Ran away from tidal due to MQA, sad to see lossless without bit perfect.

Guess I'm stuck until qubuz is offered in my country.
