Hi there, any update about this annoying behaviour? Change this approach would take max few hours for junior developer :(

Hello @jirikovoego thanks for your message.

I know that the electro team is working on improvements in the UX but they haven’t revealed what were those improvements.

Regarding the fact that pressing the “X” doesn’t close the app, pretty sure you are aware that you can close the app, by pressing the right button over the Deezer icon and select “Quit Deezer” that will close Deezer.

Fingers cross that another option will be develop to please all our PC users.

Wow. Version 7 has been released. This issue persists for more than five years. Unbelievable.

Amazing that I’m here upvoting a thread from five years ago for a basic problem that still hasn’t been addressed. Please put it back on the table for consideration.

Just installed deezer. Same issue got me to this thread. X button should be shut off. Not move to tray & keep running. Either as opt-in or opt-out.

Just installed the app.

The absence of care for this 5 years old request for a “minify on close” setting toggle is very concerning.

Are there any release notes availables for the last releases of the windows app to assess what to expect as active development for the UX and QoL?

6 years and still no changes on this basic feature?… c’mon guys;;

It’s this kind of crap that actually irritates the f9ck out of users - give us a toggle for ‘Close App’ or ‘Close to Tray’.  This is basic 101 app design.

I shouldn’t have to go to the sys tray and kill the app from there when there’s an ‘X’ available right there at the top of the screen.
