There should be no gap between tracks running into each other. This is a basic thing for the listeners experience.

I want to have gapeless playback in Deezer desktop. It is so important for many classical albums like a symphonies.

Just signed up with Deezer for three months at £0.99. Really like the app, I found the sound quality on my system much more lively than Spotify, generally a good experience. And then I played a live album. Questioned my home network .... why did the music stop for a second? Couldn’t believe it was a gapless “issue”, so put The Wall on. Then checked on here. Indeed, it doesn’t support gapless. Tried the crossfade but, I’m sorry, NO!!! Shame. Spotify it is then.

Hi there, unfortunately we are not able to say when this will be available I am afraid. I am happy to pass on the feedback, that might speed up the process.

+1 for gapless playback, please. I uninstalled Spotify because the latest version of the Android app is really bloaty and my old phone struggles with it. Was absolutely loving Deezer until I played Prodigy... what's the gap all about????? I don't know whether it's easy or hard to implement, but I am going to have to go looking at other alternatives :(
I had been shouting to anyone who'd listen how good Deezer was, and now I look a bit silly... And I was going to sign up. Not until this is fixed.

I have Deezer Beta and I don't have the crossfade option.

I'm listening to known good sounding albums at the moment with the beta desktop app at HiFi audio quality, e.g. Wagner operas or Alan Parsons recordings. It is very irritating to listen to the break between songs where they should flow from one to the next without a pause, especially when you know the recordings so well. So here is another vote for gapless playback. If the MP3 format is the problem, it should at least work with the FLAC encoded tracks in HiFi setting, as they are bit-identical to the uncompressed original files.

Hello

I would like to ask about this feature.
next song in my playlist start before current song end about 7 to 10 Seconds.
It's useful, especially when a list is prepared to my party . I do not want music to stop.
thanx a lot.

Deezer should have a Crossfade on playlist where you can blend in music one after another. Spotify has it and it makes a difference when you're djing at a party.

Are you going to bring the crossfade option to the android version too? And also when I'm changing the track using my heaphones it makes a weird transation from one track to the other, for example when I change the track using the mic I hear 1 second of the song that I switching from instead of just playing the next track immediately.
