Gapless playback between tracks

Please add a crossfade option to your controls to provide smooth transition between tracks. Should work on all platforms, not just iOS.

I have a problem when it comes to listening certain kinds of records, specially conceptual albums such as The Wall by Pink Floyd, in which there are no spaces between the songs in the original recording. When I listen to it here through Deezer I come across a disturbing gap everytime a song finishes. Is there a way to avoid that?

Dark Side of the Moon is the classic examples but there are many other examples. Of course we have The Wall by the same group. Almost all albums by Jean Michel Jarre. A lot of classical albums, maybe the majority. Stuff like Mahler's Eight is completely unlisteningable on Deezer. I can't expect these gets played at all actually.

The fact that they don't fix this might indicate they have made some poor decision early in their development, like how they coded all their music or somthing on a low level in the app. It's really sad. I'll probably go for another service quite soon since I tend to listen to a lot of "gapless" music.

I do prefer the way Deezer gives fast and easy access to sound settings like equalizer in a way Spotify doesn't. I use that a lot.

But gapless must be implemented soon for me to stay.

Hey you guys,

Ever thought of incorporating crossfader feature? It's the only thing missing on this brilliant app. I'm too used to crossfader from my many years of using Winamp (PC) and Poweramp (android).

Perhaps this crossfader feature could work on offline/downloaded playlist to reduce performance issues?

Many customers already have voted for this feature...sorry for the rant but I have to think:
a) You know that crossfade is not gapless but really it's not that important --> you don't care what many customers are demanding
b) It's technically a mess almost impossible to implement. In this case I'd prefer an official statement from the Company.

Deezer team, if you do not install the crossfade ability in the next days, I fear that out of all the streaming services that provide this, you will have to be awarded the infamous GOLDEN PINEAPPLE AWARD. Do you really want that on your CV !!! Sleepless nights ahead for you!
