I am using a Moto z2 play Android phone. In the last 6 months I've started to notice my songs are skipping like a scratched cd and have been producing this popping noise. It started out on just one or two songs but not is like every 5th song. And it is always the same songs. I have I downloaded the playlists that seem to be affected and have uninstalled the Deezer app, restarted my phone and then reinstalled Deezer. It fixes it for a few weeks and then its back.

@Warren Husband I am not sure this troubleshooting will help but it worth trying:
Here's what you can do:

  • Log out of Deezer on all devices it might be logged in
  • Get a new password for the Deezer account linked to the sound system via this link
  • Delete Deezer from the Control4 app
  • Turn off your sound system device for 1-2 minutes
  • Turn it back on
  • Add Deezer to the Control4 app
  • Login with your new Deezer password

Hi @Darlig! Sorry about it. Please try to do that and if still have issues, please send me the link of the album/track with the problem and the the Deezer app version and the Operative System on your phone? 🕵🏽

Take care.

Reviving this thread, because it’s 2024 and I’ve been having this issue NONSTOP and it’s SO annoying.

  • the skipping issue happens on Desktop (Win11, Mozilla Firefox); it doesnt happen on the phone app
  • the skipping-like-a-CD happens at the begining of certain tracks, and always the same tracks
  • it’s usually tracks I’ve uploaded myself,(and unfortunately, I’m forced to upload a lot of stuff because they are tracks not hosted by Deezer, and often, by no streaming services at all, so you can see my problem here)
  • HOWEVER, it also does happen on Deezer-native tracks

  • I’ve already performed all the steps suggested here (logging out, clearing cache, uninstalling Mozilla Firefox, testing other browsers, testing the desktop Deezer app) - I had to do all of that because I’ve had ANOTHER, unrelated issue on Deezer desktop recently (album pages weren’t loading; the UI seemed a little bugged too, with the playlists on the left side weren’t loading). I asked for support on Deezer for this other issue, and they were unable to fix it, the issue went away “magically” after a few more days
  • I also complained about the skipping like a CD glitch, but it wasn’t solved

So yeah, as you can see I’m running out of creativity to deal with the skipping issue. The one and only thing that “”solves”” it is restarting the track, which is not a good “solution” at all even more when it’s a bunch of tracks doing that.

Hey @Celtic Botan I am sorry to hear that.
Could you please share a video reproducing the problem, either with mp3 uploads and native tracks in order to pass the feedback to our devs and investigate?
Thanks

Found this thread because I am having this problem as well. Windows 10, Firefox, both personal mp3s and Deezer tracks. Unfortunately I don’t see a solution here. Oh well.

@sushigal007 does this happens only on web version on Firefox or also in other browsers?
Could you please provide a video as I mentioned above to other affected users?
Thanks

Annoyingly enough, it seems to be working fine now, although that could be because I’m listening to right now is Clancy on a loop and it mostly seemed to happen after one of my own mp3s had played. But once I’ve got this album out of my system, I’ll go back to my regular playlist and see if it’s still happening.

Well, it was working for a while, but then it started happening again, usually after playing one of my own mp3s. However, before I could take a video, my playlist started giving me an error ms3000 with every single one of my own mp3s and skips them entirely, so I guess in a way, it’s fixed again.

@sushigal007 there is a well known issue with that error (MS3000) at the moment and our devs are working in a fix so you can enjoy all your Mp3’s too.
Apologies for the inconvenience
