Echo Dot (Alexa) - Deezer is not currently supported in your region


After link my Dezeer account with my Echo Dot in Brazil, I recieved the message "Deezer is not currently supported in your region"

In the same WIFI I can use Dezeer in my mobile, without restrictions.

This region restriction in Dezeer in only for the Alexa app?

Same for Ukraine =(
By default settings Alexa worked fine, but when i change my region and timezone on Alexa - "Deezer is not currently supported in your region"

@Thiago Azevedo and @Lex.Qwe it's available in 66 countries for now, but at the moment Brazil or Ukraine are not part of the that list :(

I'll keep you posted when that changes, hopefully soon 🤞

But we certainly hope that many more countries will be supported soon! 🤞🏽

Deezer is working on any device except alexa.

Hi there, yes that's because it's not supported in Israel just yet, but we and Amazon are constantly expanding the countries. So I hope it'll be available for you too soon 🙂
I was able to play deezer on my Echo Dot and other devices (iPhone and Garmin watch) for the last 1 week from my location in Indonesia, I made no change to Alexa and Deezer account setting but since last night Alexa refused to play Deezer by saying “Deezeer is not currently supported in your region”.
The only thing that I did was I shop from Amazon and sent my order to an Amazon locker in the US, does it causing this trouble? Any help to restore it will be greatly appreciated.

Hi there, Deezer only works in countries where amazon Echo is officially supported. It's possible that you changed the location on the device itself, I'm not sure what happened. But you can't use Deezer on the Echo in Indonesia as of now. This will of course change, once Echo is officially supported in your country.

Deezer what country do you Classify the Channel Islands as? That's Jersey and Guernsey if you're not sure.

I have downloaded the Deezer app and set it as the default music service.
However Alexa still informs me that Deezer is not supported I'm my area.

Hi Ana, I have a premium account and I am experiencing a similar issue in South Africa. Do the region restrictions only effect Alexa? If so, are there any possible work arounds? It seems to be working fine on my other devices.

Hi @Neil Oosthuizen since Amazon has not made yet Alexa officially available in South Africa Deezer will not work there I am afraid. You can use the Alexa device as a bluetooth speaker and play music that way on your speaker. You will have to wait for Alexa to be available in South Africa officially for Deezer to fully work I am afraid.

I followed workaround/hint by @tsuru above and now i can play deezer again on both of my echo spot and echo dot from my non supported country 👍🏻. Make sure amazon account that your echo linked to have address in a country supported by amazon, while device location setting itself can remains on non supported country so some local skills i.e. weather will still correct.

HI @Mark B this must have to do with your Amazon account. Can you please make sure it is UK account or contact Amazon to check with them what country your account is set to?

And I've already got news 🙂 So we're not currently available on the Channel Islands on Alexa, but the team told me that they will work on that now and it should be available to you very very soon 🙂 We'll keep you posted @Mark B

I live 500m from France in Switzerland.
Amazon account in France.
Deezer account for whole family working everywhere including on Fitbit.

But Alexa Deezer, no way.

In fact Alexa is full crap in Switzerland despite the fact that I followed all Amazon rules.. (account in France for French)

It's ridiculous, it reminds me the 80s when all countries was protecting their own custom taxes and laws.

When will that be fixed?
