Hi just started a free trial and have downloaded Deezer on Sonos.

when I go to play music On Deezer I click on audio then devises but it's only showing my iPad to play on not Sonos.

I have deleted Deezer on Sonos rebooted and reinput Deezer again on Sonos still have the same problem.

Deezer is not recognising Sonos.

please advice.

I set deezer as my default service on Sonos, and do much of my listening through voice requests.

I’ve got an Ikea/Sonos Symfonisk picture speaker. This has no voice option.

The Sonos app does work, but it has it flaws (see video). The playlist keeps on getting back to the beginning after viewing the home screen. I already been in contact with Sonos about this. But I would prefer using the Deezer app instead of the Sonos app. So even after 5 years I keep on hoping that this could be possible in the future.

Hi @awesomemac, thank you for your message.

Sonos Voice Control is currently only available in the United States and France, so since you are from the Netherlands, it won't be available for you for now.

More info about Sonos voice here.

Regarding the issue of the "playlist returning to the beginning after viewing the home screen," as this seems to be on Sonos side, er have already report this to them to see how this can be resolved.

We appreciate your preference for using the Deezer app instead of Sonos. We are collaborating closely with Sonos to make this option available, but we do not have an estimated time for its implementation.

Hello everyone, unfortunately this was a project that was pushed back several times.

We apologise for that, and understand your frustration.

We are currently re working on it and I am confident this time will be the good one!

Is there an update on when this will be?

Come on guys, please please please get this up and running - this thread has been going for five years now.

Hi @Andrew71 @Gogg, thank you for reaching out.

Unfortunately, we still don't have any updates regarding this matter.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

@Leonídia.Deezer that seems crazy, it's some simple API stuff, it would take a Dev a week or two to build this feature for Sonos and all the other major streaming services like Bluesound, Cambridge etc.

Hi, I thought I'd recommend the method I use to everyone. I usually use ****** to batch download my favorite Deezer playlists to a local computer, which can be a Windows or Mac computer, and then open the Sonos app for MacOS or Windows. From the Administration menu, select Music Library Settings. Click the + (plus sign) button on MacOS or the Add button if you're using Windows. Then select Deezer songs that have been locally converted to popular audio formats and add them to Sonos.

This tool is called ????

This doesn't resolve the trouble of wanting to use the Deezer app to control the music playing on Sonos

We're working on it 😉 😉

hey @Anja  can we have an ETA on this long awaited feature?

thanks !

Hi @j-e I am afraid there’s no ETA for the time being.
Apologies for the inconvenience

Deezer unfortunately is never going to implement this feature, even though it is available with Spotify, idagio and many other services.

Deezer has a different target group. They have for quite a while now exclusively focused on adding gimmicky features for teenagers instead of adding useful functionality for improving the listening experience of the broader audience.  ☹️☹️☹️

It is really a shame that Deezer doesn't want to work on that. Spotify allows it, Tidal allows it why not Deezer.

At least give us a synchronisation between the 2 apps. When I am listening stuff on my Deezer app and want to switch to my Sonos system, I'd like to able to play the same things I was listening to.

Please Deezer work on something to improve the experience of your users.

@jamie.deezer I talked to the developers in my team and showed them the trouble and the function. They all agreed it can not be more than a few weeks work for a dev to get this done… if you want to outsource it, I can get my team onto it.

It is a strange one. Sonos recently made headlines for making a pigs ear of their app. People are actively looking for a replacement and when they realise Deezer force users to use the Sonos app you can’t blame them for going to the competition.

I, for one, would never use the Sonos app again if I could go direct from Deezer.

6+ years we’ve been asking for this. Like Andrew says above, if your devs are too busy just outsource. Sonos is a popular brand, you will achieve ROI quite quickly I would expect.

Thanks for reading, G

Has this issue been scheduled yet?

@Andrew71 I am afraid not. And as I mentioned before, there’s no ETA for this.
Thanks
