Hi there @IAMMAK @Sic_zs

Thank you for your support and feedback - please vote for this idea here too

Deezer app, works fine on Nvidia Shield Android TV. However, there is no way of knowing at what bitrate your track is playing. Secondly, the app doesn't have it in settings to passthrough raw / unprocessed audio signal to the amplifier / AV receiver and let their high quality DAC process the signal. FLAC signal, if processed by android boxes' inferior DACs kills the entire purpose of HiFI subscription.

This is a common issue with all the Android devices. As I know there are 2 apps only to have passsthrough on Android TV - KODI and VLC. I’ve read a few reviews of using USB output+external USB DAC with the Nvidia Shield TV. Over USB it allows bit2bit 14 bit 44 Khz output. Not more.

Hmm. Thanks for the update on this. Not an ideal situation it seems. The good options then are to either play Hifi music on dedicated transport with optical out or on laptops / macbooks and use their usb ports and external DAC. Further, Deezer app should have a display telling users at what bitrate the track is playing presently.

Hi there @Sic_zs

Thanks for coming back.

You're correct, the label has disappeared, but our developers are looking into this at the moment - we'll update you once there's more about it. But also keep checking for app updates - it's definitely streaming in HiFi

Hi, Rudi!

Kind thanks for Your reply!

So, there is (must be) a “HiFi” watermark at the album’s picture during the playback. It appears now on my iPhone and an Android device as well. There was the same watermark on my TV during the googlecast (both on my phone and TV). After the last update there is not. So now, when I playback a song on my phone, I see this HiFi and after I launch casting it dissapears.

To be honest the sound during the chromcast seems to be better than using Deezer on Android TV, but it better to check:)

Thanks a lot and would be great to have full HiFi support for Android TV.

Hi there @Sic_zs

Thank you for reporting your experience to us and for your patience.

How have you established that it isn't playing in FLAC quality? I say this because of our new integration, which added the lyrics feature, streams in HiFi if the device is compatible, including Android TVs. But either way, I'm keen to look into this further and report to our devs. Please give us more details so that we can try and move forward with this :thumbsup_tone2:

Hi!

Is there any chances to expect HiFi support on Android Tv?
Have Nvidia Shield connected to the HiFi AV receiver with HiFi Stereo.

Thanks!
