Error: requested content is not loading/fail to load content

:cyclone: Endless loading? If your phone app isn't loading the tracks or it's stuck with the message "Error: requested content is not loading", don't worry :smirk: . Try the steps mentioned below.

After each step, try playing the music again. If it’s still not working, go to the next step.

Steps for Android

  1. Restart the app (kill the app and remove it from the notification bar)
  2. Try another network (4G or Wifi)
  3. Restart your phone
  4. Delete all the cache & data from the app (Data and storage, and then “Clear all”), then restart the app
  5. Un-install the app and re-install the app

Steps for iOS

  1. Quit and relaunch the app
  2. Try another mobile (4G or Wifi)
  3. Empty Smart Cache
  4. Restart the phone
  5. Clear the app data
  6. Delete the app and reinstall it

Hi @Viktória Jančovičová, sorry to hear that you are having this experience.

Did you check if the battery optimization is not on for Deezer? Did you try clearing the cache of the app or reinstalling it?

If you already did all the steps, please answer the following questions:

• Have you tried to log out and log in again with the email address?
• What's the brand and model of the device you are having problems with?
• What's the version of the operating system (Android, iOS, Windows or Mac) installed on your device?
• If you're using our app, what's the Deezer version installed on your device?
• If you're using Deezer on the web browser, what's your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Microsoft Edge)? What's the latest version installed?

If could you also send me a screenshot of the app Deezer with the option “Data and storage”, it would be very helpful too.

On android 8.0.8.1 (and a few pervious versions), I have a constant downloading notification.

I traced it back to some Playlist which have one or two songs that have this error. None of the steps seem to be working to get rid of this error.

It's getting kind of annoying really.

I tried all these steps and I still can't play any song that's not downloaded, whether I use wifi or mobile data it doesn't make a difference,  the "error" message appears every time.

For the last month, I have had this problem happen with the Deezer app. I am using a Samsung S23 Ultra with the latest updates on both phone and the app.

4 weeks ago had this issue start with inability to play any songs. I cleared the cache, uninstalled  the app and then reinstalled, then redownloaded my playlists, only to have the app work for a few days to a week before the problem reoccurs.

I am now on my fourth time that this has happened in the space on a month and I am at a loss at what I am meant to do!

Yesterday, I noticed that the app was using a lot of battery. I cleared the app and after doing that I found that the problem has returned where the banner shows it has an error in loading the content. This problem occurs with my downloaded songs, however even with trying to play songs by streaming in the deezer app it is struggling and unable to play any song consecutively.

I am sure that I will be asked to clear cache (already done), uninstall app (about to do) and then start over again ( fourth time...) but really hoping this message will be responded to and a true solution found.

I've been having this exact same problem, i deleted and redownloaded the app and it's gone back to what it was. I get error messages, the playback malfunctions and has the loading symbol for ages, even when it's with downloaded songs??? Also the song titles get mismatched with what's actually playing, I have Samsung S21 ultra so I really want a solution to be found

I’ve been experiencing music playback issues for the past couple of years. This happens when I use the shuffle feature or start Flow based on my favorite tracks.

At some point, Deezer shows a message saying that I have no saved tracks or playlists, even though my library is not empty at all.

The issue comes and goes, but lately it has been happening very often. I’ve contacted support many times, but nothing has helped. At this point, I’m seriously considering canceling my subscription because enjoying music has become impossible.

None of the troubleshooting steps your support team previously suggested have fixed the problem.

This issue occurs both on Android and on desktop. I’m using Samsung S25+.
