Potential Enhancements to Deezer's SongCatcherNew

Dear Deezer Team,I’d like to submit a few feature requests and suggestions specifically for the SongCatcher functionality that I believe would GREATLY enhance its usefulness and bring it in line with industry standards.1. SongCatcher History LibraryPlease consider adding a history feature that saves previously identified songs. This would allow users to revisit and explore tracks they've discovered using SongCatcher, unless they choose to clear the history. Apps like Shazam and SoundHound offer this, and it's an incredibly valuable addition for music discovery and collection.2. Improved SongCatcher SpeedCurrently, SongCatcher can take up to a minute to identify a song, even under ideal conditions. Optimizing its speed and responsiveness would greatly enhance the user experience and make it more competitive with similar tools.3. Saved Concerts SectionIt would be amazing to see a “Saved Concerts” feature in Deezer, similar to Shazam. This feature could allow users to:Discover upcoming concerts by artists they like Browse by artist, date, location, or genre Save concerts to their profile Set reminders for upcoming shows Receive notifications before concerts or exclusive content from artists (e.g., setlists, tour photos, wallpapers) Purchase tickets via in-app links4. Offline Search Mode for SongCatcherPlease consider adding offline support. When users activate SongCatcher but lose connection (e.g., in a dead zone), the app could record the audio snippet and identify the song once connectivity is restored—similar to Shazam and SoundHound. This would be incredibly helpful for discovering music in real-world environments where internet access is inconsistent.These additions would not only enhance the functionality of SongCatcher but also reinforce Deezer’s place as a top-tier music platform.Thank you for considering this feedback—I and many other users would greatly appreciate these improvements.

"Add to Queue" FeedbackNew

Might not be the only one that doesn’t like the “Add to Queue” current function especially if Deezer creates this automatic queue after you play a song. I would like to set a priority to the songs I select and want to “add to queue” to be first than the automatic queue created by Deezer. Or else what I do is only select “Play next” but is not in the  order I would prefer.

Buongiorno avrei un idea da suggerire per la sicurezza di deezer sul proprio account! perchè dopo tanti anni ancora non avete inserito la sicurezza in 2 fattori, anche google authenticator, sarebbe cosa giusta al giorno oggi non si è tranquilli, qualcuno può sempre riuscire ad entrare e prendere in possesso il proprio account. Spero al più presto introdurrete questa sicurezza per impedire malintenzionati a rubare gli account degli altri. Grazie e speriamo che un giorno accada.

Deezer Favorites Tab: Audit & Redesign Proposal --- Part I: Core UX/UI Issues 1. Disorganized Hierarchy The Favorites tab lacks a clear structure. Music content—tracks, albums, playlists, artists—and podcasts are treated equally, with no prioritization. Users expect a smooth, personalized experience. Instead, they face a cluttered interface that complicates navigation. 2. Fragmented Sub-Tabs Sub-tabs like Tracks, Playlists, Albums, and Artists work separately. There is no connection, no learning based on user behavior, and no easy access to frequently used content. The layout makes users search for material that should be readily available. 3. Mixed Media Types Podcasts and music are grouped together, even though they cater to different user needs. This mix creates obstacles and disrupts the enjoyment of both music and podcasts. 4. Hidden Downloads Deezer’s key feature—free downloads—is buried in secondary menus. This option should be a main part of the Favorites experience, not an afterthought. 5. Static User Experience There is no flexibility or customization. The interface does not change based on how users engage, and users cannot control the layout or what content gets priority. --- Part II: Strategic Redesign Proposal --- New Structure: Three Main Tabs 1. Downloads This tab focuses solely on downloaded content, dividing it into music and podcasts. It emphasizes offline access, which is crucial to Deezer’s value. A dedicated Downloads tab appears first under Favorites A toggle allows users to switch between Music and Podcasts Sort options include: Recently Downloaded, Most Played, File Size It uses large, visual cards with content-type indicators --- 2. Music This section replaces the current disorganized layout with structured, scrollable modules based on user behavior. It features modular design with sections: Most Listened Suggested Repeats Playlists Albums Artists Recently Played Each module scrolls horizontally to maintain vertical flow Users can pin or rearrange modules according to their preferences --- 3. Podcasts This tab is dedicated entirely to podcasts, designed for easy listening and seamless resuming. Sections include: Continue Listening Subscribed Shows Downloaded Episodes Recommended It has visual indicators for tracking progress The layout resembles those of streaming services --- Optional Enhancements Smart reordering of modules based on listening habits Pinned sections for user-prioritized content A universal search bar accessible from all tabs Swipe navigation between Downloads, Music, and Podcasts --- Projected Outcomes Clearer access to important content Improved engagement through personalized experiences Higher retention by reducing interface friction Better alignment with user expectations and Deezer’s strengths

Hey deezer, I know change is inevatable with apps but could I beleive putting the three dots option button in the top right is possably the worst place for it as its a button i use regularly. Its not in an easy to use spot especially when im using my phone with one hand, I dont have a large phone too. Just somthing to consider.Cheers

Last listened widget on iOSNew

Hello everyone!Well, as the title indicates, when adding a Deezer Widget on iOS, the small squares that appear are: Flow, Songcatcher, and Favorite Playlists, but the option "What are you listening to now?" or "Last listened to" doesn't appear (as other services do). I think it would be a good option if we had that choice.What do you think?

Song-dragging issue in playlistsNew

I have playlists containing 2000 songs. Therefore, I sort them in alphabetical order by song title.Newly added songs always end up at the bottom. Previously, I could easily drag them upwards in the smartphone app.But recently, it has become much more difficult and very time-consuming.Currently, I can only drag a song up a few titles at a time. Then I have to scroll the bar on the right before I can move the song a little further. I have to repeat this multiple times in order to place the song where I want it.With playlists of 2k songs, it takes a lot of extra time!I didn't face any problem with this before, until a couple of weeks ago.Please fix this issue! Because it's not very user-friendly anymore and frustrating.

Being able to choose the background color of a reproductionNew

Hello everyone!As you may know, Deezer has implemented a new background color system while playing our songs. After a few months, I personally really like the off-white color scheme that appears based on the cover art, like this one… It would be great if, among the entire range we currently have, the application gave us the option to choose, just as we have the option to make the reproduction monochrome, it would be great if we had the option in the screen settings to be able to choose the one we wanted.What do you think?

Disregard selected playlists & artists for FlowNew

You should be able to select certain playlists and artists to prevent them from influencing your flow. For example, if my partner plays her her favourite artist ad infinitum, I don’t want those tracks to influence the algorithm for flow, likewise if I were to play a child’s playlist for my nephews. This would help keep the Flow more “pure” for my own music.

would be nice if you can resume to your played playlist where you left off even if you switched to another playlist. say i'm playing Playlist 1 and switched to listen to Playlist 2 and then wanna switched back to Playlist 1. i want to resume the song i was listening to in Playlist 1 where i left off and not from the start of the playlist.thank you.

Better display for song titleNew

Quite often songs in classical music have these huge names (name of the piece, name of the section, movement description, opus number, etc.)The current way it is displayed makes it quite a pain to navigate and find the song you want because the useful information (like the movement) appears at the very end of the name, unless:you play it and wait for an eternity for the title name to scroll and finally show the useful information (iOS / android) you extend the window (Windows) to a ridiculous size (doesn’t help for the titles shown in the library though)Example(Not even mentioning the crazy amount of redundant information in the titles shown here, that doesn’t help readability at all)It would be amazing if you could find a better way to display the titles and/or “format” the titles to a standard that avoids bazillion duplicate information

Besides MP3, pleasee let FLAC and APE files to be added to DeezerNew

Hi,I keep my private music collection in loseless format (FLAC, APE) - I really do not want to convert it to MP3 to add it to Deezer in a purpose to use in car while driving.Please, consider adding FLAC and APE files directly (if neccessary, convert them on the fly).

Hello everyone!!Today I propose searching for Record Labels within the application. It's a feature I recently saw on Qobuz, and I think it's a great idea, because smaller record labels usually end up publishing the same type of music. So it's a good way to discover new artists.For example, when you search for information on a topic on Qobuz, you get the following information: Then within there you can click on the record label: And so you can search for songs and albums that are published on that label.Of course, it's also true that for that, we would need more information on the topics within Deezer...If anyone else finds this interesting, great!!😊

exclude songs/artists manually from My Deezer YearFeedback

It would be nice to be able to manually exclude certain songs or artists from the My Deezer Year statistics. For example, I often play a playlist with rain sounds to help me fall asleep. Unfortunately, my two "top songs" are now rain sounds and the two top artists are the ones who uploaded them. Such a review of the year is of little use to me and I can't post it anywhere. I would be very happy if this feature were implemented.

Cache a few songs in advanceNew

Add a cache to pre-download a few songs ahead so music is not interrupted while travelling by car, train, bike, etc. Probably a good idea to have an adjustable size for time/tracks. One of the Apps, Tidal I think, used to do this a few years ago, but it seems that none of them do now.

Home needs improvementsNew

Discovery is a labour in the current version of deezer compared to the competition there are needless steps. Home tab,  why are catagories like 100% [artist name] fixed,  why cant i dismiss the list or rank it down,  like i want more discover,  and inspired by,  but i get 100% instead.  I want at a glance to quickly discover the type of music i want to listen too.   Maybe I just need to use it more, but its a labour to use right now.

Loading Album List At Once vs ContinouslyNew

Hi! Im on W10 on two different PCs and the Deezer desktop app works in a specific way when viewing lists like the album list thats really bothersome to me.Lets say the list ist sorted from A-Z. Sometimes I want to scroll down to a specific letter of the list but when opening the album submenu only ~15 albums are loaded. To reach an album further down I have to keep scrolling and wait for the next albums to load. The mobile app loads the whole list at once, which is much more intuitive and useful. Having the albums load continously kind of defeats the reason of what makes a scrollbar handy to me. To make matters worse, if Im opening an album by clicking on it in the desktop app, going back resets all the progress I made by scrolling and I have to start from the top again. Which is very annoying to me, if I only want to add one song to the queue or something similar. Im using workarounds like playing the album and then opening the queue, because the queue acts as an overlay. It does not reset the scrolling progress.I get that it may perform better on weaker machines this way. My phone is not that new and the album list takes quite some time to load. But on my old PC scrolling was slow too. It made me listen to Albums that come later in the alphabet less, which is wild to think about.Id be very grateful if this behaviour could be changed or be made toggleable. Its my biggest gripe with the app at this point. Thanks in advance.

Shuffle My Music to mix in discovery/non-favorites in initial queue buildFeedback

My understanding is that `Shuffle My Music`, will make a queue of 50 songs from favorited tracks, albums, and playlists, and then when that queue finishes, it will add more songs.If `Automated recommendations` is toggled on, it will continue with a mix of favorites and some discovery (non-favorites). If `Automated recommendations` is toggled off, it will continue with only more favorites.I would prefer `Automated recommendations` toggle to include discovery tracks in the initial queue. If the user is open to hearing discovery music mixed in, why wait until the 50 song initial queue is done to play the mix?
