I know that exist a client for Windows and Mac, but I can't to find any one for Linux. In my opinion the web version es pretty bad and the company can develop a port for their client.

I think that is important to cover all the platforms for all the users.
Yes, please, this would be really nice. And don't forget to support useful Linux features like mpris2 control over dbus so it's trivial to interface remote control via command line, etc...
Deezer stuff, your service is excellent, but please respect your customers choice of OS. Please create a native Linux client with lossless support so that we can enjoy what we pay for, without the hassle of Windows/OSX. It shouldn't be that hard if Spotify could do it since the early days...
I wouldn't prefer an electronic app or something I know have a gnome app cause Opera doesn't always function with HTML5 for some reason. It worked when I complaint about it for like a couple weeks then back to flash. Flash should have died in the 00's. Honestly if you can make it for mac you can make it for Linux and it wouldn't be too much work. The API is avaible though. Intergration with gnome/kde would be nice.
Hi,

When playing a song, it happens that when i take the cursor to somewhere inside the song, the music simply stops and will never play, unless I play another song and replay this one.

thanks

Nathaniel
I am on chrome under Ubuntu Debian 64

What means Deezer version installed? I am using it from the website!

Thank you

Nathaniel
@nathasion Linux is not yet supported... sorry! I moved your topic here, so you can keep up to date on this 🙂
I went from Apple to Linux a few weeks ago. I really liked the app for Mac but I really like Linux up until now. I don't really see a reason to go back to Mac. Since there is no app for Linux I'm stuck to the browser based player which is horrible compared to the deezer apps. At the moment I'm considering changing to Spotify.... Hope they fix this issue soon
Why do not you have a player for Linux? They could take advantage of this free software idea and support the platform https://github.com/baptistedonaux/deezer-desktop-linux

This is not longer supported, but this another client (mellow player) promises work good with deezer.

code:
https://colinduquesnoy.github.io/MellowPlayer/

I created a linux based APP that uses the browser technologies to make an external application .Deezer client.

Download it and put where ever you want, then click on the 'deezer-linux-client' launcher. You will see it's like browser, you can login and use this like it's in the browser.
Deezer is already losing the streaming battle. Strong moves like opening the code is the only strategy that would make you special in front of spotify/apple. And if you open the code, the desktop app on linux will be done by the community.
Greetings!

Deezer's player does not load tracks while i m using it with web browser. Although, it works fine from mobile app.

My OS is Fedora 27 and I am using Firefox 59. HTML5 player activated and GStreamer package installed as well.

Can you give me a clue for fixing that?
@z0r.pwnd I can give you a reason why it's not working: we don't officially support Fedora yet, sorry about that! As I understand from a bit of research, Fedora is Linux-based, right? (please correct me if I'm wrong) That's why I moved your topic here.

You can make our developers prioritise the support of Linux by voting for this idea though! 🙂
This was started 8 months ago and there is no news!!!
+1. I would love to have a linux client but I believe deezer just don't care about linux users since there is no answer from them on this thread yet. Disappointed... 😞
Native linux client will help premium costumers to use less bandwith, I have only 3mpbs. And also we could use the controls of our keyboards.

Please think about it
I'm interested in switching to deezer but it won't happen until there's a linux client.

*I'm currently using spotify premium.
Spotify created application for Linux, Hope that Deezer will close the gap and release a client soon.
For now you can use the Nuvola player, which doesn't require Flash. It's distributed as a Flatpak.

I used the following instructions to install it on my Ubuntu 16.04 system.

http://ubuntuhandbook.org/index.php/2017/06/install-nuvola-player-4-5-in-ubuntu-16-04-higher/
I manage to install Deezer Windows 7 beta client on Fedora 28 using Wine emulator.

But this is only another workaround...
I know that exist a client for Windows and Mac, but I can't to find any one for Linux. In my opinion the web version es pretty bad and the company can develop a port for their client.

I think that is important to cover all the platforms for all the users.

I get very sad about the deezer's neglect with linux 😞
spotify has a linux client and you guys should use spotify. I am using it too.
Totally agree. 🤞🏽
What is wrong with you guys, give us an awnser
@z0r.pwnd it works good for me with Fedora 28, Firefox 62.

Overall I don't understand why it still not done. You made Electron app, it incredibly easy to port it on Linux. At least just make build and release it "as is", Linux-nerds already had to solve problems.
Same story here. No Linux app means I'll just keep using Spotify.

Every couple of months I get the urge to re-examine Deezer as an alternative to Spotify Premium.

Every couple of months I discover Linux still isn't supported and go back to my Spotify.

I don't need web, flaky support in some random transient app, flash requirements, half-solutions, explanations or excuses. I just want to be able to consume the full features of the product (including CD-Quality, Sure I'll pay, that's why I keep looking for alternatives to Spotify) on my OS of choice.

TL;DR

No Linux = No subscription
