I know that exist a client for Windows and Mac, but I can't to find any one for Linux. In my opinion the web version es pretty bad and the company can develop a port for their client.

I think that is important to cover all the platforms for all the users.
Since Deezer does not care about its customers, it will not make any difference to cancel my subscription and convince as many people as possible to use their products.
I'm using MellowPlayer on Manjaro right now, but unfortunately, it consumes a lot of RAM and CPU. Sometimes, it's reaching 700mb of ram consumption. We really need the official native app.
Thanks @Victor Gomes keep supporting the idea, as we'll be pushing this to our Product Team 😉
Please develop client native for Linux, using flatpak and snap support, please!!
Hi there @mathevsouza

Thank you for your feedback and support - I've moved your comment here so that you can contribute with a vote 😉
We really need a native client for Linux kernel-based systems.

Thank you for your efforts to do this and I would appreciate it if there was a communication on this. I offer myself, to help in the tests.
My Chrome in Linux and logged into my Deezer account.

using Deezer interface through chrome on Linux or ChromeOS

I see 1,411 kbs to supported Chromecast 3rd gen not ultra

Hdmi to j-tech digital hdmi audio extractor, optical out to schiit modi multibit d/a converter to cd imput on preamp.

Flac streaming development from browser such as chrome, edge now chromium based and Firefox, should be higher priority.

Chrome on mac and edge for windows and chrome on Linux could could solve 3 platform problems at once and you wouldn't need desktop apps. Desktop client development could switch to android and ios app development, till then I could use the browsers on portable devices as web apps till then.

My pixel 2 with BT 5 supports ldac streaming output in dev. settings just want a portable flac streaming service to listen to on the go.

deezer on andriod shows streaming hi fi to above setup as well

Rumor has it amazon music will be streaming hi-res by this fall/winter
Hey @Rudi if you guys need beta testers for Linux let us know, I'm sure there's more than a few of us following here that'll be happy to help 😁💻🐧
Definitely going to remember that @GeorgeThomas when we speak to our devs for further development - as this topic is going to be the main source of feedback. Thanks 😉
Hey @Rudi , no ETA on this yet?
Hey @Ivo Cavalcante

No, not yet. We're very busy at the moment finalising some important releases that have taken months of work to be done. So I guess after this period, we can refresh the conversations about the Linux app. It's something our devs are already aware of, and that we'll keep on top of here in the community. Thanks a lot for keeping up with us.

It's great to know that, and definetly, we've seen your improvements! But you know, we always want more and more. 😉
I tested Deezer app on Manjaro. Since it's an electron app I didn't have any major issue. It works with electron 4 (4.2.6 or 4.2.8) but not with the latest 5.x.x

Repackaging the app is more than trivial. Maybe you will have to implement MPRIS but apart from that not a big deal...:)
Hi there,

Just thinking that I may not be the only one that runs app on a linux terminal,

The Tizonia Project http://tizonia.org/ aims at give access to streaming platforms through a linux terminal.

Best Regards,

Geoffroy
Hi there @blondelg

Thank you for keeping us in the loop about this. I've moved your comment here so that you can support an existing idea 😉

The deezer package on the AUR has been updated to use electron 6, and you can try a patched version with MPRIS in the pinned comment.
Please release Linux APP or unlock HIFI on web-app

Linux users are banned from HIFI
Any solution? It is 2019~2020 people xD
Linux users: I wanna use your services on my Linux devices. Here, take mo money.

Deezer: Nah. I'm fine.
Hey @sergey.laptick @Ahmed Hamdy @Stefano Grad

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We know this is an important feature so we've presented this to our teams at Deezer. We hope to bring you an update once we've discussed this at length.
Ok, now we have 500 votes and one year behind. Dear devs, maybe the time has come?
Thanks for the honest feedback @rfk will pass it to our team discussing this 👍🏼

C’mon @Rudi , it’s been a long waiting and nothing, so far! I’m starting to look for alternatives and found this:

https://github.com/keshavbhatt/olivia

It’s still very new, but I confess it’s what I’m using - and liking - on Linux. I’d rather have the better quality of Deezer, but Olivia is doing fine so far. Take it as an example, it can’t be this hard!

Hi there@Ivo Cavalcante

Thank you for sharing with us. After speaking to our product managers, we were informed that a Linux app is in discussion, with some work already being done on it. But it isn't a priority for this year, so keep providing your feedback in order for us to give more support for the idea!

In the meantime, you can also try this workaround too: https://nuvola.tiliado.eu/app/deezer/other/
