Linux needs a native client for Deezer!

I know that exist a client for Windows and Mac, but I can't to find any one for Linux. In my opinion the web version es pretty bad and the company can develop a port for their client.
I think that is important to cover all the platforms for all the users.

    I recently created an Ubuntu script to install Deezer based on the fantastic work done by IlyaGulya and SibrenVasse on an AUR package for Arch Linux. It should work on Debian too since Ubuntu is based on Debian, but I haven't tested it.

    You can view instructions on how to install it here https://github.com/siphomateke/deezer. It's not at all official and isn't guaranteed to work with future Deezer versions but it's what I am now using.

    I'm not sure why Deezer hasn't added support for Linux yet considering the Deezer desktop app for windows is an Electron app and runs just fine on Linux with a few minor tweaks.

    Hopefully this helps my fellow Ubuntu users.

    I'm interested in switching to deezer but it won't happen until there's a linux client.

      Spotify created application for Linux, Hope that Deezer will close the gap and release a client soon.

        For now you can use the Nuvola player, which doesn't require Flash. It's distributed as a Flatpak.


        I used the following instructions to install it on my Ubuntu 16.04 system.

        I manage to install Deezer Windows 7 beta client on Fedora 28 using Wine emulator.

        But this is only another workaround...

                @z0r.pwnd it works good for me with Fedora 28, Firefox 62.

                Overall I don't understand why it still not done. You made Electron app, it incredibly easy to port it on Linux. At least just make build and release it "as is", Linux-nerds already had to solve problems.

                  Same story here. No Linux app means I'll just keep using Spotify.

                  Every couple of months I get the urge to re-examine Deezer as an alternative to Spotify Premium.
                  Every couple of months I discover Linux still isn't supported and go back to my Spotify.

                  I don't need web, flaky support in some random transient app, flash requirements, half-solutions, explanations or excuses. I just want to be able to consume the full features of the product (including CD-Quality, Sure I'll pay, that's why I keep looking for alternatives to Spotify) on my OS of choice.

                  TL;DR
                  No Linux = No subscription
