No automatic track "mixes" in search results playback, make it an option.

Related products: Features

It seems there are others who don’t like the new “feature” of automatically playing a random mix from a song in a search result, but there is no idea to bring back the old behaviour and/or make this a switchable option, I think.

This had already been available in the iOS app for a long time, as far as I know, and then was implemented in the other apps as well. But it does not allow to simply sort and play the found tracks in a row anymore which was one of the best Deezer features compared to other providers.

Here are some related forum threads, but there may be more:

Thank you for creating this idea @bluezzbastardzz

automatic track "mixes" in search results is a counterintuitive annoying nightmare for me. is it possible to disable this behavior right now?

I ask Deezer representatives to answer not as part of their job description, but as users. When you search for tracks of your favorite band in your favorites and after the first one of them the RANDOM music starts playing, does this seem normal and expected behavior of the program to you?

I just want to add that even option “play next” disappeared on the search result page. Pls explain me anybody why three tracks that were found just can’t be played one-by-one-like-on-the-screen? What the idea behind this automatic unnecessary “mix”?

Very good idea, @bluezzbastardzz

let’s get some votes up!

A workaround for playing found tracks is to use their checkboxes on the right and then send the checked ones to the play queue. But that only works for some unknown reason if there already is something else in your play queue like an album or a self-created playlist (not one made by Deezer).

Any update on this? It continues to be infuriating!
