I was casting music to a Google Home and was trying to clear the queue, but couldn't find any option to do so.  Looks like I had to stop casting in order to modify the queue, which only let me rearrange tracks or remove them one by one.

Upon being left with one track, there doesn't seem to be any way of removing it, so whenever I load the app, I'm stuck with the last track at the bottom.  I can bring it up to fill my screen, view my queue, and there's the track at the top stating "now playing".  I have the option to add it to my queue (I guess it's not considered to be in the queue already), but can't remove this final item.

I'm within the first half hour of my trial.  Looking to switch from Google Play Music, I first tried Spotify, but cancelled within the first day because of this exact problem: no ability to fully clear the queue.  Deezer doesn't have the same queue problem, does it?

Hi @ummacles

at the moment when you’re casting you can’t change the queue - I also find this frustrating.  I know this has been passed as feedback to the Deezer team so hopefully in a future update you’ll be able to change it.

Thanks for the reply, but I have a follow-up question: does the Deezer community edit post titles?  The original title of this thread was absolutely not what is currently written, so someone had changed it from my original question to something else.

My original question (still written in the post itself) was about clearing the queue and especially the "now playing" section, but not specific to casting.  I mentioned that I had started off casting, figured out that I couldn't change the order while doing so, stopped casting, was able to remove songs one by one, but was stuck with one final track in the list, perpetually leaving a "now playing" window up every time I entered the app.  That was my original question, and that's what the original title was about before someone edited it to something that I didn't ask.  Pretty frustrating, honestly.

Hey @ummacles

Sorry to hear about the title - perhaps one of my colleagues adapted the title after misunderstanding your question. I've changed it now.

The title serves to help other users find similar questions and answers in one place. There isn't an option to clear the queue at the moment, all you can do is play Flow and then stop. But there will be one song in the queue. For more info, please register your support here :v_tone2:

Hello Ummacles. I agree with you. I was about to post the same complaint. On a 5.7 inches screen I don’t see any use of having my very last track stucked at the bottom. I played with “Smart cache”, forced the app to stop, but unfortunately, this info comes from the Deezer server (Well, It seems to be ,,,)

I hope that Deezer will fix this soon.

This is important by itself and has nothing to do with casting. In the desktop app there has to be a way to clear the play queue. If this doesn’t exist, please add it. It’s a basic feature that really has to be there.

Hey @merojack @tubeaudio

Thank you for your support! You've got a point.

Please vote for the suggestion here so that we can work on influence the prioritisation of the feature :thumbsup_tone2:

Done, thank you :)

1 year later, no clear queue option

Napster
Tidal

Apple Music

All support cleaning the now playing list and you are still refusing for years to add this simple basic feature.

Totally agree that to refuse to implement what must be a relatively simple thing to achieve and probably wanted by a lot of users shows how little Deezer care about their users as long as they keep paying

I'm going back to Spotify. Enough of this.

I’ve already given up and gone back to Spotify. Along with the lack of crossfade on desktop and diabolical album and playlist view on iPad I gave up

Bumping this because it's absurd this isn't a feature. It makes the "add to queue" option near useless.

Hi @nagusame, I understand your frustration that this feature hasn't been implemented yet, especially considering how important it is for the "add to queue" functionality.

I'll make sure to escalate this concern to our developer team for further consideration.

Thank you for your feedback.

This functionality has been asked for years. It would be so easy to implement it!

How important was it to get this “new purple flashy design” (guys, seriously?) if the experience of listening to Deezer is still so frustrating in some aspects? I’m really upset by this policy – and the recent huge cost increase (gosh! more than 100%, that’s not inflation, that’s the Big Bang!) will not help to be comprehensive.

Please, wake up!

Bumping this because I don’t get what's so hard to add a clear the queue button.  I have 1019 songs in my queue and have to remove each one individually!  #crazy
