Hello. 

 

I'm not sure what happened to my deezer app but its suddenly stopped being able to connect to my bluetooth earphones and headphones. 

 

All my other apps connect to them and play as normal so it cannot be my phone and obviously its not my head/earphones. 

 

I've restarted my phone and the app multiple times. I've updated the app to latest version (8.0.10.27). I have never needed to use Deezer connect but when I click on this, this doesn't appear to load. My phone is a Samsung S21. 

 

Are there any further steps I should take as this is a really frustrating issue. I can listen to music in the gym and my entire catalogue is on Deezer. I pay for Deezer family and if I can't it privately with headphones, then what is the point.

Maybe You need turn ON bluetooth on your Deezer app .

 

 


Yes the bluetooth is on as you can see in my photo attached. 

If I switch it to google cast, to play through to my tv, it works. Then switch it back to my bluetooth, it just plays through the phone. 

Like I said, all my other apps play through my bluetooth without any problems. 

If I click on google connect, it just buffers and then fails. 

 

Ive gone to the deezer app on my phone to see if something was switched off but I cant find anything.

Did you tap on bluetooth icon to open tab !?

There you can turn ON/OFF bluetooth and you can see which devices are available and additional settings .

In additional settings you can turn ON for quickly pair compatible devices (headphones, speakers)


Yes.

As shown in my picture, the bluetooth icon is already connected to my earphones (Core Pro). When I select that, it takes me to my phone's bluetooth settings, where the bluetooth is already on. I have then (whilst deezer is playing) switched bluetooth on, off and then on again. The playback cuts a bit as if it wants to connect to my earphones but doesnt and just keeps playing through my phone again. 


Hi, @Chinonso.Nwoguh I have tested with different bluetooth headphones but I could not reproduce the problem that you mentioned (I have an iPhone though).
Just to understand, you are not able to play at all via bluetooth.
If you connect your headphones via bluetooth first and then you open the Deezer app, does it work?

Hi @Chinonso.Nwoguh, I’ve tried it on my Oppo phone with the same Deezer update and I couldn’t reproduce this issue.

Also I’ve tried it on a Lenovo tablet, same result, it just works.

I’m really curious what this could be?

 


Could you check the bluetooth settings for your headphones? Are they all turned on?

 

 


So I tried everything everyone suggested.

All of the correct settings were on, appropriately. 

The only thing that fixed it was deleting app and reinstalling. Why? I don't know. But at least its fixed.
