Hi! Why are some songs are unavailable on mobile but available on desktop?

Example: Aerosmith – Crash. Selected country – the USA. Android. Streaming from Azerbaijan.

Hi @Dawg !

Streaming rights are defined by territory - country, region, location. The tracks that appear in the search box when you're looking for music are the songs that are available in all territories. In a small number of cases, a user in a different country may not have access to different tracks so an "unavailable in your country" message appears when they try to listen to it.

Hi! Thanks for the reply, but it does not explain why some songs are unavailable on mobile but still available on desktop.

Hi @Dawg, thanks for your message.

It could be possible that you are trying to listen the same track, but with different tracks ID. Meaning the same song Crash, might belong to different albums, so they will have different ID’s.

That been said, you can have song "Crash” in one album “X” that has rights to play in your country and the other album “Y” with the song “Crash”  that doesn’t have those rights to stream their.

I checked in our catalogue that these album - https://www.deezer.com/us/album/384515087, has right to play in Azerbaijan, so if you try to listen music number 9 “Crash” it should play on mobile and desktop.

Let me know please if that worked for you in both platforms.
