I just started a premium Deezer account and tried to import ny playlists from spotify.
The service noticed that there were som 12000 songs and 50 something playlists. The service said it was done but it was only my 625 favourite that actually made it into Deezer.
I signed up for a premium but it was in fact free as try out period. Could that be the reason?

The limit within Deezer is 10,000 Favorite songs from 2,000 playlists. Also, the more songs you transfer, the longer it will take.
