Hi folks, I’ve reported this via email but posting here in case someone else has encountered this before and has a solution, it’s driving me absolutely mad
I want to view the albums I have favourited by recently added. However on my iPhone 14 Pro, iOS 16.3, app version 9.31.0 (9.31.0.1), using recently added shows me the same view as A-Z (album).
I’ve tried this on the following devices and it’s working fine there:
iPad Air 4th Gen, iPad OS 16.3, app version 9.31.0 (9.31.0.1)
Google Pixel 4 XL, Android 13, app version 7.0.20.133
Web player on Chrome
Check out the screenshots below and you’ll see the difference. And no, I’ve not forgotten to select “recently added” as the display option on the iPhone
Here’s the troubleshooting steps I have tried so far on the iPhone 14 pro, none of which have worked:
Deleting and reinstalling the app
Logging out and logging back in
Logging out, deleting and then reinstalling the app
Deleting the app, removing the iPhone 14 Pro from the devices list and then reinstalling the app
Turning synchronised queue list off and on again
Accepting all ads and analytics
Clearing smart cache and expanding size of smart cache to 5GB
Re-transferring all of my albums and tracks from Spotify using tune my music

Hey @shifty_shortcake
I cannot reproduce this behavior here. The web version as well as iPhone 7 with deezer-stable 9.0.31 and iPhone 13 Pro with deezer-beta 9.0.33 present my favorite albums consistently and correctly in the "Recently added" sorting.
So I created a whole new free account using a different email, and I’m getting the same issue on my iphone. Which means it must be something specific to this device.
Question for people smarter than me - is there anything I can do to try and solve this? I have tried deleting the app multiple times, including via the general - iphone storage route. Have also tried restarting the phone and doing the force restart detailed here. Still no luck.
Hi @shifty_shortcake!
You can’t change it on the options to “recently added”? Like, when you go there and change it, nothing happens? That’s interesting, because I just tried on my iPhone 13 Pro Max and worked without any problems too…
Can you please send me the screenshot of your Deezer settings (please don’t send the ID or private info…)
Which settings page would you like to see? I’ve attached data and storage but it’s pretty low right now coz I’ve been deleting and reinstalling the app like a fiend while troubleshooting this
Hi @shifty_shortcake!
I saw our Customer Care team are helping you on that case, please reply them by email and they can help you.
Take care.
I have exactly the same problem. Deezer could not help, it’s driving me insane. How was it fixed?
@Johnathan.Deezer
@shifty_shortcake
@Geegee57 its not been fixed for me ♂️ the developers are struggling to understand the cause of it, from what I can tell, and they can't fix what they can't see broken
@shifty_shortcake Thanks for the reply. Oh no, what a nightmare. It is so annoying and frustrating isn’t it. I did think about cancelling and starting all again to see if that is the issue but obviously would lose everything.
Every new update they send out, I’m always hoping for a fix.
If you get it sorted please let me know and I will do the same for you.
Yeah, don't think cancelling and starting again will help coz I created a whole new account just to test this and had the same issue on this phone, so it's clearly something to do with the device itself.
Btw which device are you using? Is it also an iPhone 14 Pro?
Well I was using an Iphone XS Max. I then upgraded to Iphone 14. (Not the Pro)
Both devices had the same problem, that’s why I’m inclined to think it’s either Deezer themselves or something to maybe do with the Apple Watch and having Deezer on that. I think I’m just clutching at straws here.
Quite a few years ago this happened to me before and they released an update which fixed it. Unfortunately I think we are in the minority so we have to just put up with it, isn’t really good enough
@Geegee57 On the new phone, did you restore from a backup or set it up as new? Wouldn't be a good solution obviously but I've been wondering if wiping my phone and treating it as a new device would solve the problem. I'm gonna get the new iPhone when it comes out later this year so was gonna test the theory out then
I did restore backup. Perhaps that is the problem. I think I'll give that a go at some point and start again. If you happen to get your new phone before I get around to doing this, would you mind letting me know how you get on.
Hey guys!
2024 here
having the same issues on my iphone13 it’s driving me nuts, did you find any solution ?
thanks
@alanthedog Nah, I switched away from Deezer before getting a new phone so never found a solution
