Independent account vs. family mix

If a family plan is joined as an independent account, will that account contribute to the family mix? (In our particular case it would actually be a feature if it doesn’t.)

No, Independent accounts will not contribute to the family mix as they have separate log-in credentials. :slight_smile:

Thanks for the responses.

The ‘welcome’ email for the new family member who accepted an invitation using an independent account explicitly mentions the family mix feature though (even though it also mentions the account being independent).

My family have independent accounts on our premium family but cannot play a song on demand. When they select a song a random song plays instead

Hello @harmonicajoeo I’ve checked in the system and everything seems to be fine with your Family account and your family profiles.
Please ask them to log out (clic on favourites>gearwheel>log out) and login with the email and corresponding password of each account.
