Track Skipping Problem

Just a couple of days Deezer HIFI subscriber here. So far I like it but...my issue right now is - the desktop app is misbehaving - it skips numerous track(s) anywhere in the playlist every now and then, and this is not right!

Just now, I did increased the cache to the max - 10gb. Let's see how this helps.

Anybody have/had this issue and what's the fix that works?

Cheers!

@HiFiG I'm happy to pass this on to the devs. It's just that I don't have any issues on my Wifi. If there are more cases like yours I will pass them on as well so that our devs are able to reproduce the issue 🙂 Thanks a lot for the feedback!

Hi @HiFiG, I haven't noticed any problems. Have you tried to lower the quality in the app to check if you have the same issue?
Thanks for the suggestion Anja but that's not an option, I have 75mbps and can stream 4k no sweat. I read many cases of this problem online so I guess it's not an isolated case. At the moment, i'm went to Tidal and have no problem at the highest sub. plan set to Master Quality.

I might give you a try again with you sort out things. Your app is on beta stage and I know you can.Just don't ignore your customers...

Keep it up!

It seems that some FLAC files are actually broken and cannot be played with the HiFi settings. If you set the audio quality lower than that for those broken tracks, you might be able to play them nevertheless. Furthermore you should name them here if you can reproduce the problem.
I select a song to play on the browser. Deezer starts skipping songs extremely fast as if i had the tab or pgup pressed. The time stays at 00:00:00 / 00:00:00 at all moments and no song plays. I tried on two browsers and had the same issue. But if I log out of my account it does play the tracks.

Hello @dhid95 sorry for the late reply, we currently have to process a lot of requests. In our system I can see that your payment for Hifi was refunded and you used the Deezer Free Version for the last days.

I just re-activated the Premium trial for you 🙂

Please let me know if you are still experiencing the same technical issue and I can help you fix it.
Yes I am still experiencing the issue

Hi there @dhid95

Have you tried clearing the browser's cache for example? I've also sent you a password reset email. Please change your password and login directly with email, not FB. And let me know if it helps 👍🏼
Nope. Didnt help.

Hi@dhid95

I'm very sorry your reply fell off the grid. I'm going over the community's older replies at the moment and thankfully you posted yesterday. Thank you for your patience.

So the skipping is happening on web browser and desktop app, and now with a Family profile? Could you please be more specific about the system and device? Have you changed your password like I mentioned before?

Sorry I didnt explain myself clairly. The skipping was happening in all web browsers. Seems like its fixed now. I will update if I encounter the problem again. Thank you.

I’m going throught the same problem right now… endless skipping and no song is playing

Both in google chrome and in the app on windows

Hi there @Diogo Matias

Thank you for your patience. I've carried out some maintenance on your account. Please follow the reset email I sent you and change your password. Then log in as normal, but avoid using Facebook. Let me know if it helps!

Ok, will wait for it @Diogo Matias. Any chance of trying to restart your router as well?

Is there a solution for the skipping tracks yet? I have premium internet I have premium wifi I set the quality at its highest for downloads and streaming. If it cannot be played at that setting then don't allow it. This has become a shit subscription service and I seriously want to end mine.  I have done all that you have recommended. Restarting the app. Updating the app. Removing all die downloads and clearing  the cache. Streaming or downloads it skipps every song.

Please reinstall the app! Also, do you have any other app like battery saver, antivirus…?

Hi,

I am using a Google speaker and Deezer as my default music player. Recently when I ask Google to play a artist the songs start skipping after a few seconds. Why is that?

Hey @STownsend

It could be something on our side, thanks for letting us know. Could you please unlink your Deezer account from the device, restart it and also your internet router and try again. Let us know how it goes!
