Deezer won't play on Google Home, it's not linking

I have linked Deezer on my iphone Google Home app and set it as my default music player, but when I ask my Google Home Mini to play from Deezer,  the voice assistant says "your Deezer account needs to be linked first. You can do that in the Google Home app". I've tried unlinking my Deezer account,  logging out of Deezer on my other devices, rebooting my phone, resetting my password, and re-linking Deezer again several times, but I keep getting the same error message. I have a new Deezer Premium account in the trial period.

Hey @Tofieldia

Sorry about your experience, and thank you for reporting this to us.

When you link your Deezer account to the Google Home device, does your phone prompt a web page to appear? If yes, I recommend you to clear cache and cookies for that browser, to see if it helps.

I've also had a look at your account and saw that your Google account was linked to Deezer. Try avoiding that and only using your email address and password to login to Deezer when linking. Let us know how it goes :thumbsup_tone2:

Google mini will play deezer if I cast it but it wont play on voice command. Please help.

Hi there @Acqua

Thanks for reporting it. Have you tried restarting the Mini and your network router?

Are you getting an error message? What happens when you say 'it won't play on voice command'?

Hi, I'm having the same problem. My Deezer account has successfully linked to Google Home but when I ask my smart speaker to play music it says "you're Deezer account needs to be linked first". I've tried the old switching everything off and on routine but still the same. Works when I cast.

Hey @Brian.Blair is your device and your Google Home speaker connected to the same Wifi?

Yes, @Jaime. I linked my previous Spotify account easily.... Deezer, not so easy 🤔

Looks like I'm gonna have to go back to Spotify as nobody seems to have the answer. 😥

Hi @Yula, thanks for the response but I posted a screenshot ⬆️ showing that Deezer is linked. Would resetting everything maybe help?

Did anyone solve this? I'm having the same issue when trying to play a Playlist.

It works fine with artists, songs or Flow but not my named playlists.

I've logged in both with & without Google across 2 accounts.

Like @Prichard - Deezer works fine for me with Google Home, Nest and Hub BUT it won’t play named playlists and asks you to link your Deezer account.

Requesting songs, artists and albums works fine.

My account is linked properly and I have no problems requesting other content via voice - it’s only NAMED PLAYLISTS that trigger the error.

Hi @Natalie.Newman could you please provide examples of the named playlists that trigger the error?
Thanks :)

I've tried 'Loved tracks', 'Favourites', 'Favourite tracks' and then any number of others I've saved or created myself including Randoms, House Funk, Dance Randoms, Everything Average etc.

No matter the name, I get the same error around not having a linked account.

I tried “Play a focus playlist” and got the “your account is not connected message.” It worked fine when I said “Play Tool” or “Play Chopin.”

Dezzer can NOT connect to Google HOME. Si i can NOT speak to my Sonos with Google assistant. It works with Spotify but NOT with Deezer. It is a shame that this is not working and i dont get it. Please Deezer make this bug.

So, i can not choose,
