Since yesterday afternoon, my connection to Deezer via Chromecast built in has not worked. I have a streamer Pioneer n-30ae At first I thought there was a bug in the streamer but other apps- for example TuneIn normally work over Chromecast. I did everything possible to solve the problem, but without success. I restarted the streamer and modem, reset the device, uninstalled the Deezer app from my phone, and reinstalled, cleaned the cache, tried the beta version. Nothing helped.Deezer via Chromecast doesn't work. Can you please help me? The fault must be on Deezer side. It's never happened before. Thank you

Today, it's exactly one month that doesn't work steaming via Chromecast. No information on the situation, what happened, why ,when the service will be fully operational again. nothing Just empty platitudes that the situation is known. I subscribed until the end of May and it's no use to me.
Why make the advertised features work when you can have an update to celebrate international Women’s day and just keep focusing on empty marketing?!? to Deezer. I suspect they do not even have a product reliability team.
I ran out of patience and made the switch to Tidal. I love enjoying my Hi-Fi system and this bug made that impossible. So unfortunate, especially because I like the search engine and interface of Deezer more than Tidal.
I hope Deezer will get it right soon. For now I am happy to enjoy my music again, but I am very disappointed in Deezer.
I’m also unable to use Deezer with Chromecast. I have a first generation Chromecast stick connected to my AVR and it works just fine with all other streaming services (Netflix, Youtube, Spotify, ...). When I try to cast from the Android Deezer app, the Chromecast display goes black for about 1 minute and then returns to the idle screen. The music doesn’t even start at any point during this time. I was hoping to replace Spotify with Deezer to get better streaming quality but if I can’t cast to my sound system one way or another I will have to cancel my Deezer subscription.

Do you open a request to Deezer support?
I know that also Google have some problems with Googlecast protocol.
I suggest you to open a support request also to Google.
I did it. This don't justify Deezer

It's exactly the same for me. I liked Deezer but the lack of listening to hifi via Chromecast forced me to look for an alternative. I'm at Tidal now, and it has many advantages over Deezer. For me, the biggest advantages are these
1.Relative to Deezer are the correct years of release of individual albums and that of the original and remastered version
2.Labels
3.More information about tracks (producer names etc)
4.Information about albums
5.Possibility of forming a queue via Chromecast (not working at Deezer)
6.After playing the chosen album or playlist, something else will not start playing but it will shut down.
7.Folders at Playlist
What makes Deezer better is the overall clarity,
My personal view is that this is not a technical error, but that Deezer and Google have not agreed on the finances and have therefore prevented Google Deezer from continuing to use it. Therefore we have no information, Deezer does not disclose these internal issues. The technical fault would have been fixed long ago.
I hope no. I think that legal issues between Google and Sonos caused this situation and Deezer that had bad Chromecast integration it been have these problems
Yesterday I had a surprise. A deezer email said me that from April I will have to pay more for my family subscription. This for to have hi fi quality.
ahahah…where do I have to listen this hi fi quality? On my phone? On my tablet? I think that it’s possible to listen hi fi quality only on hi fi or speakers. But NOW my speaker doesn’t work with Deezer. Why I have to pay more?

This is an issue with the earlier generation of Chromecast used in some streamers/receivers. Other Chromecast devices (e.g. Chromecast Audio, Ultra) still work. I think its a simple case of needing to fix it or regress their code, or tell us why they can’t fix it so we can decide what to do. I would hope that some significant resource has been allocated as its a bit of a deal breaker for those with affected equipment.
I am still encountering this issue more than a month later. I’m going to try to request refund for the past month of poor service, and will continue to do so until the functionality is restored.

I have a Chromecast Audio dongle. Neither it nor my Google Chromecast dongle work. My Google TVs both work.

Let us all know how you make out with this. I get that bugs happen from time to time but when one of your defining features is HiFi music yet you support very few devices, losing support for the devices customers rely on most should absolutely be a priority.

I’m agree, but they not.

Hi
It might pay to check your firmware as my CC Audio and Ultra are definitely loading OK. The CC Audio is on 1.56.281627

I have that firmware version. According to the app Deezer is casting to my Chromecast Audio but it definately isn't. Music is currently coming through Bluetooth headphones, and if I turn them off it comes out of my phone speaker.
What I have found is that the Chromecast Audio will sometimes connect once after the app is restarted (it takes about 25-30 seconds to connect - the Chromecast Audio has always taken a long time to connect). If it disconnects for whatever reason the connection won't be re-established, although the app says it is, without restarting the app, and even then it's hit and miss. My Chromecast never connects anymore.
I've got thousands of dollars worth of audio gear that is useless with Deezer now.
Ah interesting, your symptoms are different. I notice you’re on Android (I’m iOS) - perhaps two different issues or they manifest differently depending on phone/tablet OS. For me the cast never loads I.e. cast icon blinks/pulses but never goes solid: be good to confirm with others their symptom and OS.
I did some testing with Android, like Rick the Str-dn1080 and Chromecast Android both quickly showed the Chromecast icon as ‘solid’ but the audio played out of the mobile speakers, not the Chromecast.
iOS continues to work to the Chromecast Audio but not the STR-DN1080. Interestingly once I started the stream to the Chromecast audio I could connect from Android and control the stream (ie click next).
I’ve had no update from Deezer support at all. Given the length of time to fix a basic functionality issue I would have to guess it’s not fixable for some reason. I find it really disingenuous if that is the case that they don’t just admit it. If it is fixable then something is wrong with the prioritisation of dev time imho. Playback is a pretty fundamental function of a streaming product.
Disengenuous is a perfect term here. Deezer is moving everyone over to HiFi accounts, presumably based on the pretext they'll get better sound quality, but don't support most of the devices needed to actually take advantage of the upgrade.
I've been a loyal Deezer customer for many years, I really love it but the price hike combined with coming home today to find that my Chromecast Audios won't work, yet immediately work with it services is making me really think about leaving. Also they dropped IFTTT support which I was also using. They're user communications are terrible. :-(
After trying to cast deezer through my laptop and android phone I can see that this fault has still not been fixed. Please can we have an update on fix investigations and ETAs?
@Yula noted in a different thread this morning that their developers have finally managed to duplicate the issue that's escaped them to date, and identify the bug. So that's progress at least. Hopefully we're not waiting another 8-12 weeks for the fix to come out...
Surprising that it was so difficult to reproduce, hopefully they are aware of the different iOS and Android manifestations (if it is the same problem). Raises the point - are there people Chromecasting successfully to 1.36 firmware devices, or to Chromecast audio’s from Android?

I have a first generation Chromecast with firmware version 1.36.159268 and have exact that problem.
