After the announcement of the new logo and the new identity of Deezer, we took the time to read all your comments and feedback in order to address your concerns and understand your feelings

Opinions are very divided and several details were pointed out, including one that came up quite often: Why did you choose a heart 💜?
One comment cited “there is a more distant connection to music compared to the old logo”

The beating purple heart simply represents love and passion for music. The shapes of the logo vary to signify musical rhythms. Its movement and pulsing quality directly reflect the essence of music and the human response to the listening experience, much like a heartbeat.

Another question was “why did you decide to change everything/what is the purpose of this new identity?”

Deezer helps you “be and belong,” going beyond streaming to empower fans, artists and partners to express themselves and connect through our products and services.

Refreshing our visual identity is essential as we enter this new era for Deezer. This allows us to connect emotionally with music fans, artists and strategists through visual cues that let people know that with Deezer they can experience music, not just listen to it.

“The choice to have prioritised this change was not the best, it would have been good to strengthen the user experience rather than degrade it.”

Satisfying our users experience is indeed crucial. Development and modification choices can be complex, which means that the change itself was so significant that some bugs crept in during this transition. All have been flagged by our developers and technicians, who are already fixing these errors.

The identity change will be present in all future app updates. We hope you will adopt the new design and enjoy the new Deezer experience.

We adopt this new identity with pride, and although not everyone likes it yet, we still hope to find a place in your hearts 💜.

Deezer you are keeping your stupid heart icon? Personally I do not feel music when this icon is small or not animated, it is just a stupid heart!

This icon is so not professional at all! This heart and this purple color make me feel as it is a dating application as I said previously. I was listening deezer with my professional laptop, but now when I share my screen in a meeting I feel ashame when this icon appears… Same feeling when notification appears on my phone or worst on the shared screen of my car!

Maybe I’m not anymore your marketing target, maybe you are only targeting teenagers lovers? But I’m the owner of my family account, and my teenagers will move with me!

I’m currently testing other streaming services, Tidal seems to be good for me. Soon you will loose one more family account!

I just want to agree with some of the other users, real quick.

I disagree with using a purple heart.

Bring back shuffle my music, album info, and the ability to swipe down.

That being said, I feel like the shuffle algorithm was adjusted and seems much better. If it weren't for this one factor, I would definitely jump ship.

This company approach to opinions of theirs customers is the worst. Soon you'll lose another paying account.

If you are using the iOS beta version of Deezer, you should see a Shuffle icon now in the Favorites tab:

You may also check if the album info when swiping left on the album artwork is already back, not sure.

What was the purpose of this brutal redesign? Antagonize the customers? Then you did well, but please give the option to turn back to the sane design. I will pay whatever amount of money. Please.

I like the new logo and the UI redesign!

You know… I’ve been working for almost a decade as a software engineer and I am tired of all the flashy UIs or in the other hand the “I want to be like Fcbk” looks and trends.

The new UI help us to get the best of deezer. FEEL the music and Connect through it. I love the new logo. It feels more like a hey we love the music and want to share that feeling than We are just a streaming platform <3

Windows icon is smaller than standard? Funnily on Mac icon is bigger than standard size. :D
