I had this issue for months, if not longer. Occasionally the volume would reduce, but more often the volume would crank to the max after certain actions, such as searching for another song or checking another app and then returning to what was playing in Deezer. Could never pin down exactly why, nor could others. Then the issue seems to have gone away a few weeks ago. Sorry to have passed it on to you! ;)

Thank you for your reply! It's good to know that it's not just my problem, I hope this curse will pass on somewhere soon ;)
@Jaime.Deezer, can you pass this to the developers?
I have been having this problem too, desperate for a solution
For about two weeks, I have been having a problem with the music randomly turning up to maximum volume. I thought it was a problem with the old iPhone (XS), after several reinstallations of apps and updating the phone to iOS 18 the problem persisted. I replaced the phone and on the iPhone 15 the problem still occurs, but surprisingly at a lower frequency. Normalizing the sound in the app options did not help. Please help or I will have a heart attack.
I have had the exact same problem on both iOS 17 and iOS 18. It started a few weeks ago, and I am not considering deleting Deezer if the issue does not get resolved asap.
Hello @Evil Raccoon @Eli Akerman H @addpug thanks for your posts and sorry to hear that you are all with this issue.
Unfortunately on the iPhone 12 i have here for test purpose with iOS 18 I never got this issue.
Could it be related to some device connected to the iPhone, like Air pods or Apple watch?
Can you tell us more about this:
- Any device connected to the phone? If yes, can you try it without does device connected.
- Happens on Wifi and Mobile Data?
- Version of Deezer app, iOS and phone model?
- If possible, steps to reproduce the issue?
It is good to know that this problem occurs more often. In my case:
- the problem appears both on WiFi and from mobile data
- appears on Apple headphones with Lightning and with USB-C, as well as on the JBL Go 3 Bluetooth speaker, on the Bluetooth transmitter in the car
- my device is iPhone 15 with iOS 18.0.1, the problem appeared on XS with iOS 18
- my Deezer version is 10.23.0
- I have reinstalled the app multiple times on both the XS and 15 model
Hi @Evil Raccoon Thanks for the details. I have already shared them with our developers as I can’t reproduce the same as mentioned.
Nevertheless, just to make sure I got everything, when you listen to music on your iPhone without any device connected, do you experience the same issue?
Also experiencing this issue, volume suddenly jumps to maximum when streaming from iPhone SE 2020 17.7.1, app version 10.24.0. Same on Airplay to KEF speakers or Bluetooth to a Sony portable speaker. Has been happening for at least a month, have tried various fixes in the phone settings and tried reinstalled Deezer but it still happens. Do not listen to music on the phone only so cannot comment , should probably test that too. However I found it does not happen with Spotify though so it seems to be only Deezer. Will have to switch to Spotify if not resolved as it makes listening a scary experience now, waiting to be suddenly deafened!

Unfortunately, yes The problem also occurs on an iPhone 15 not connected to any device (headphones, Bluetooth devices). In recent days, the problem occurs more often and faster - about 30 - 40 seconds of a song.

OMG, yes, totally! I either go deaf or have a heart attack. I'm torn, because I've been a user for 7 years, hundreds of beloved songs, and each of them ruins my mental health and ears with sudden volume spikes I'm hoping for a quick patch, because I really don't want to part with this app. I hope that your app will soon settle down ;)
I’m also experiencing this same issue, for about a month now
Same issue here. I see the volume increase every time I open the app ob my Apple Watch to skip for the next song.
I tried deleting the app only on my watch and haven‘t seen this issue anymore. Music control works with the app „Now playing“ but not as comfortable as the Deezer app.
After reinstalling the watch app the volume issue appaers again. So my guess is there‘s a problem on your Deezer Watch app. Please forward this to development.
Our devs are aware, and working on a fix.
As soon as it is fixed we will let you know.
Thanks for your patience
Also experiencing this, listening with the iPhone 16 Pro Max, original believed it was an issue with the new iPhone, but also happens on my work phone that is the iPhone SE. I’ll be at the gym mid set, AirPods to Full Volume!! In the shower air playing to the bathroom, iPhone and Apple Watch on the side, all of a sudden full volume!! I’ve had the issue on the Apple Watch when you open the app, but I wasn’t wearing my watch when in the shower!!
Problem only occurs with Deezer, Apple Music is fine.
I have the same problem with my iphone 14. I am using an apple watch as well. I believe the issue is with the deezer apple watch app as it happens as well when I am listening to deezer playlists downloaded in the watch
Installed yesterday’s latest version 10.25.0 from appstore. Rebooted iPhone and watch after installation.
Problem hasn‘t been solved. Still volume increase the moment I open the watch app.
Uninstalled the Deezer watch app and the issue seems to have gone! Thanks for the suggestion above. This is fine for me as I didn’t actively use the watch app anyway. The built in Apple music watch app works for track skipping.
I hope you are close to a solution, because this app has been going crazy lately. Over the past two weeks, every session of listening to music has involved a sudden spike in volume. It's much worse than when I started this topic.
Listening to music on headphones is starting to become a masochistic practice, no reinstall helps, I have a new phone, new headphones and yet I can't listen to music in peace for 15 minutes.
The issue ist sill open. Even with recent app version 10.25.1 and recent iOS 18.1.1.
What clue do you have on this more than annoying problem?
omgg i’ve been having this problem aswell! every time i’m in class just trying to listen to some music with my airpods the volume just keeps jumping up out of nowhere. sometimes i even jump up because it scares me so bad LOL.
or when i’m sneakily on my phone in the middle of the night just tryna listen to some music quietly and then the music just turns up at max volume. it always gives me a heart attack ahaha.
hopefully they fix the issue soon
This issue has been driving me crazy for months. I’m beginning to question my sanity after trying multiple setting adjustments, resets and reinstalls, the problem still persists even on latest app build 10.26.0 released today, and latest IOS build 18.1.1, the volume still jumps up very high unprompted, mostly when AirPods are connected.
This bug fundamentally compromises the app, it’s astonishing it hasn’t been corrected as yet.

It also works for me. Fourth day with the app turned off on the watch and nothing happens. I hope it stays that way.
I’ve been having this issue too for months. It makes Deezer unusable for me sadly. I’m going to uninstall the watch app as suggested earlier and see if that makes a difference. Fingers crossed…
Sounds stressful! If it’s happening across devices, it might be an issue with the app or connected accessories. Try resetting your Bluetooth connections, checking for app updates, or testing with another app. If nothing works, contacting the app support team could help.
