Two Factor Authentication (2FA) for Deezer

More security options the better, some companies are shifting to passkeys, perhaps this can also be included if ever this suggestion materializes. 

2FA SHOULD be on everything. Welcome to modern software security. If they ever add 2FA they may make it optional. I will for sure be using it but I enable 2FA for everything because why not secure all of your accounts…

Or, better yet, add Pass Key. As I understand it, the most “modern” form of two factor authentication, better than others, especially SMS/Text.

6 years ago 2FA was suggested as a requirement to be implemented yet still no sign of it yet. Why has this still not yet been implemented despite it being recommended over 6 years ago! 😱

This is something I took for granted would be present when I switched my family from Spotify. It was reported as something Deezer was “working on” six years ago, and still not delivered. This coupled with Deezer’s own security breach makes me wonder if I made the right choice :|

Update on this? The rest of the world is moving to passkeys, yet Deezer still doesn’t have MFA. This is something I even community sites and low budget projects implement.

It’s almost humorous how long it has been and they still don’t have 2fa implemented…
