Remember last position/track or album played (wherever left off)

Any update on it? It`s been a while since I started using this app and stills facing following example situation:

"Start a 60 minutes podcast, stop at 37 minutes and close the app, when I open it again, the podcast start at 0:00 and not 37:00."

Specially for podcasts listeners it`s a pretty bad experience to need to find where did we stopped last day, usually songs do not have more than 4 or 5 minutes, so it`s not a really problem that it starts at 0:00 but for podcasts...

Also, I don`t think it`s a complex implementation for 7 month (the oldest post that I saw about it).

I use Deezer for different situations, eg working and running, and I listen to different types of playlists for each. If I stop my work playlist and begin my running playlist, I would like the position in my work playlist to be stored, so that when I return to it, I don't have to restart the playlist and have some of the songs repeated. Like different modes or profiles which each has a playlist memory.

I hate always that I reopen Deezer app and I lost the last position.😤
This is my only complaint. All the rest I love😍.

Came here to request that Deezer picks up where I left off on a playlist.. It eats away at me knowing I'm missing great tracks on a Playlist I love..

One thing that irks me is when Deezer support say's (.. should work on it SOON).. My day job is in support and highly advise not saying "soon" or any time frame if it's not the truth.. it just keeps the customer on pins and needles.. My wording advice is say it's a good idea and you'll keep an eye on it.. with no time frame.. it still stings from the customer perspective but at least we're not given false hope.

Please implement this functionality. It is not a feature, it is basic functionality from every audio or video player.

My blu-ray player, streaming services (Netflix, Amazon Video), old CD players, my 14 year old iPod - all remember last position.

I swapped to Deezer because the Tidal app is just so atrocious (I suspect due to awful product managers and off-shore development team(s)).

Deezer is great, and so far literally the only niggle from the iOS app.

Hi! With cross device functionality would be perfect, this "remember last position". (for example: when you arrive home and want to change listening deezer from phone to your home device)

I'm really sad to say that this issue is driving me back to Spotify as soon as this month's Deezer subscription is up. I can't believe nobody at Deezer has bothered to address this more than a year after OP. Just basic functionality. Real, real shame.

It really bugs me that when I open up the app it's lost where I was in a podcast. Some are well over an hour long it's so difficult to find my place again. Please fix it so the app remembered where I was when I turned off. I absolutely love Deezer otherwise much better than the Amazon music or Google music apps but not remembering where I was really kinda kills it for me

Wanted to add my voice to this request too. I can’t believe this feature still hasn’t appeared after all this time. I’ve been using Deezer for 6 years now and am still waiting! I use Deezer with Apple CarPlay, and it is a real pain to have to reselect the playlist and track every time I take my phone out of the car. For that reason alone I’m seriously considering switching to Spotify Premium, which I’d rather not do, because other than this Deezer is excellent!

I’m here to say that I moved to Apple Music after using Deezer for years now just because they failed to provide this basic functionality. It’s annoying that everytime I pause, do something else, and try to play again, I have to reopen the app to select what do I want to hear.

It's a basic fonctionnality. It's a shame that we can't have that !

Currently, every time I log in to Deezer I see "What Lovers Do · Maroon 5".
In my opinion, the best option would be to remember the last song that was played before closing the app. That's how Spotify and Tidal work and it's a handy feature because I can resume playing whatever I was listening to yesterday. Searching for the album that was last played every single time I restart the app is annoying.

why not have an option to restart from the last position when opening (resume where left off as others call it)? I like podcasts but if I’m listening to one and I have to close the app it can take ages to find the place I was last at. Quite a few people mention it in the reviews.

when I open my browser and open Deezer, I always see Ed Sheeran as a song ready to play. I never listen to Ed Sheeran, so not sure from where it gets it. It would be great if the song that is ready to play is the last song I listened to last time I used Deezer. Currently with Ed Sheeran ready to play, I could accidentally press play and pollute my hearing history and probably Flow recommendations.

Hi @Rudi, thanks for pointing me here. The Ed Sheeran's song is the default song for me when I listen through web. I open my browser, go to Deezer (and log in) and it's there at the bottom in the player ready to play.

Can you open the queue and go to the bottom of it? There should be a button to deactivate automated recommendations.

Need this. Whether it remembers the last track played per device or across platforms, but in some form. I'm loving Deezer overall, and on mobile it's not a huge problem, and the app saves state unless actively closed anyway. But I can't just jump in the car and play music - I have to select a playlist every time. No other streaming app has this issue.
