That's an Android-only feature, available via Deezer Labs (in Settings) @Samppa. It adds a voice at the beginning of the track to introduce the title and artist, like a radio anchor
I am with Spotify since the early days. Because I am looking for HiFi quality I tried Tidal and am now trying Deezer.
Oh no. Gapless playback is such a basic feature in my opinion. Spotify and Tidal are all good with that. Except via Chromecast. But that’s another story.
i am listening to artists like CFCF and their albums are all meant to be listened through like a story.
The tiny gap between songs is annoying. I may rather stay with Spotify if that’s not a priority for you amazing people at Deezer?
Thank you for your feedback. It's interesting for us to hear a point of view - of someone who tried other services. We'd like gapless to be a reality soon, but we also want to finish our new Chromecast integration and fix some bugs. Gapless is on the list
@Rudi thank you for confirming that gapless is on the roadmap. For me, the lack of this feature breaks the app, I will not use Deezer until this is implemented.
Could you give an estimate as to when we might see this feature?
I just subscribed to Deezer Hi-Fi and the only thing that keeps me from recommending it to all of my friends is the lack of gapless playback! I opted for Deezer Hi-Fi over Spotify so that I could be fully engaged in listening to the highest quality music. The gap between tracks in concept albums like Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon will distract any listener.
The addition of gapless playback to Deezer would make it my top choice for streaming music.
Completely agree with you on this one. The good news is that we're working on this, and there are some tests being made on iOS at the moment, for instance
So as soon as we have news to share, we'll be here to keep you updated - thank you for your input and for your patience
We’ve been waiting for over 2 years for this. Is it just too hard for the devs to implement? Or not considered a high priority? is there an ETA on this feature?
I've been with Deezer for about 5 years, maybe longer. Just tried listening to John Digweed's "Quattro" but there isn't a fully mixed version. A friend has told me Spotify has a gapless mixed version, so that's probably enough for me to jump over. So disappointing that this isn't already a basic feature for any music streaming service. Oh, and I use Deezer via an Android device and also on Sonos.
Thank you for your feedback and for your loyalty. I can't stress how much your support and patience are appreciated.
Gapless is coming it's been developed since the end of last year and some tests are being carried out. I'm unable to give you more details right now but I can tell you that it's coming soon and that the community will be informed. I'm personally waiting for this feature, it'll be cool
New subscriber here. Started my subscription and paid for it right away. Didn’t even give it the two week trial because I love the sound quality so much. But you gotta fix this gapless playback issue. Was just listening to ‘Black on Both Sides’ by Mos Def and the breaks between songs were cutting content in a really, really annoying way. I’ll give you a bit longer to fix this and then I’m gone. C’mon people. We’re all stuck at home listening to music. Now’s your chance.
Hi all. this is not the first time I am writing about the problem of lack of gapless music availability. Deezer has been promising this for years now, each time we are being told it’s around the corner. I must be one of the earliest subscribers to the service but this has now gone for too long. If by May it is not solved (I’m a mac user), I’m definitely moving to a different service, especially now that I have discovered how to move my libraries across platforms. Sorry Deezer but it’s just not acceptable.
The problem is that we have been told to ‘watch this space’ for a long time now, and for a feature that users of other services take for granted.
I hope Rudi is right that it is being trialled and will be rolled out soon, because, as others have said, it is simply not acceptable that it is not available on Deezer.
I have been a subscriber for several years now, but I will also switch to a different service if this issue is not resolved in the very near future.
Thank you for your feedback and for your loyalty. I can't stress how much your support and patience are appreciated.

That’s good new. Please make this your number 1 priority (after safety).
What does “soon” mean though ? few weeks ? Few months ? 6 months ?
I’m a happy hi-fi subscriber but this is clearly the main issue I have with the service right now.
Well... Listening to conceptual albums is like a having a hit on the head every time when one song tries to flow to another) Can't wait to finally hear gapless playback here.
I was always super transparent about this feature and my replies are here to be seen. Gapless was being developed last year but we had to put it on hold for a little bit, because of other features. This is a feature I personally advocated for internally, because it's an industry standard and you couldn't be more right about it.
We've picked this up this year, and right now, as we speak, we're doing some tests on our mobile apps
I'll be posting an article about it in the next couple of weeks, letting you know what we've got so far. I'm confident you'll be pleased! And hopefully it answers some of the questions above if not all.
I’m sure everyone appreciates the way you have always tried to keep us up to speed with developments, and it’s good to know that you share our frustration!
@Rudi thanks for the help and replies here. Nice to see thing go ahead and also, is there any possibility of you giving slight estimate when iPad or iPhone gets gapless? Thanks and have nice time there.
