Hi @PacoP

I believe you can have gapless on Android Beta and iOS. I'm hoping for gapless on desktop soon! 🙂

Bit if a hidden secret, eventually found it and registered for Betta . I don’t hold much hope!

I have tried and given Deezer a miss a few times. Tried, because they did good to lure me initially, and as I understand, their payout to artists trumps Spotify by some margin. Miss, because of really crappy interface. I finally bit the bullet and have been using a paid subscription for some time now, but since I predominantly listen to progressive rock/metal, pretty much every single album I listen suffers from this issue. After all this time, I can't believe that this is still an issue.
From search function not working after PC hibernation, to claiming "they can't write apps for Tizen", retarded "flow" and search suggestions, (they finally have persistence the past few weeks, one less thing to moan about), tonight I just had enough. I've put up with it for the artists, but seeing how long people have asked and asked for this with no resolve, I'm checking out and doing Spotify. Sorry guys. I wish you the best, I suspect you're the underdog here, and I usually root for the underdog, but I'm guessing this time there's reason for it. I've installed Spotify for the first time tonight since Deezer waved at me in 2014 I think, and first impression is that it simply works exactly as one would expect. I'm somewhat nostalgic and a loyal brand costumer, and these moves usually leaves me somewhat sad, but I have feeling I won't regret this one.

Hi there @kowalski5233

Thank you for your honest feedback. Your decision leaves us sad too, but we understand the reasons and that we could do better. We're doing what we can with the people we have to improve our app experience as a whole. Gapless has been worked on by a lot of people on our side, for example. So it'll be a reality soon.
I'll be happy to pass your feedback on to the relevant teams here at Deezer, and I hope we can sway you back in the future 👍🏼

@Rudi , thanks, I don't know if you have such services in place, but feel free to ping me if this is a thing. All the best.

Already voted for this feature.

So far is the only reason I'm going back to Tidal (or maybe Spotify). Both apps has gapless playback. And it's a very old feature. Tidal also has Hi-Fi files so I don't really imagine why is so hard to implement this basic feature in Deezer.

Mixed (electronic DJ sets) albums and live albums are ruined without this feature.

I let my subscription drop too, the lack of gapless really is a deal-breaker for me. I'll keep an eye on this thread in case gapless really does get shipped soon. To be positive about it all, I quite liked Deezer on Android. The app is quite stable, and there is a fairly good range of music (omitting random albums is frankly annoying from a subscriber viewpoint, but the coverage isn't too bad overall). Get gapless working and it could be a winner for me.

Hi there @Jay Ros @tlambord

Thank you for your honest feedback. Yes, please keep an eye on this thread (leave notifications on) and we'll be in touch once it becomes a reality - we'd super happy to see you back 🙂

Last week I purchased a network CD player Yamana CD-NT670, and I wanted to test most of its functions that I may find useful for my music experience/pleasure. So today I decided to try lossless streaming with Deezer. I started with an album that I've listened many dozen times in last years - https://www.deezer.com/ru/album/4299241 - to see/hear if that service is that good. And then right after the first track I heard what shouldn't be there - a pause. That's when I went to this forum to vote for gapless playback feature which is definitely a must have for a hi-fi service.

BTW, listening to this album further I found that the gaps between tracks are not that small as some people say. For me they are about 1.5-2 seconds, just like on some stupidly stamped CDs with a default 2 seconds pause between tracks when they should have been recorded in Disc-at-once mode.

Hi there @Alex314Ru and everyone at the community,

Thank you for your support and for your patience. We've spoken to our product managers about this major and essential feature. As mentioned above, we've been working on this for quite some time and the good news is that it'll be a reality soon. We should expect more updates by the end of this year, when other exciting features are being developed for too. Personally, I can't wait to listen to the Dark Side of The Moon on Deezer once Gapless is here 😉

Hi, Some of the favourite albums for some users requires gapless listening. I was spotfy user moved to deezer premium, and this is the only feature I don’t have that it is important for me.

Please , we want gapless listening!!!

Por favor, queremos escucha continua, sin saltos entre canciones!!

please release crossfade to all the devices like nvidia shield app. Gapless playback should be working. On tidal and spotify it does. I find a option in deezer labs for crossfade.

Hi @Rudi

the link is corrupt or dead end :)

Dear deezer pls you guy need to add cross fade to your music player so it can cross fade the music in a way u won't notice its playing single tracks. Also my issue is when subscription end and I can't pay at the moment my paid music should not be blocked from my access. I should be able to play them till I subscribe to a new premium Cox u made me pay for it before downloading so I should have it to place but in my case when u try to play it will say subscribe first or u can't play any of your old music.

The end of the year is almost here taking into account the holidays season. Are there any news? I had to switch to the other service in order to listen to the dark side of the moon. I'm in the process of choosing between Deezer and the other service. And this has been a setback. A minor one since I have found this thread.

P. S. The thread seems to be about directly playing to some DAC. BUT it should also work while using the Chromecast tech.

Hey there @udy

We're also waiting to hear back about this. It could be delayed for the New Year. But we know it's been worked on for quite some time now.

Thanks for your support and understanding :thumbsup_tone2:

Definitely a huge deal breaker to me. After so many months and years we’re still waiting for something so basic. Deezer and Tidal are still the only one music providers without this more-than-needed feature. I’m sorry @Rudi but I will not considering  Deezer anymore until this feature will be properly implemented.

Hi @Rudi,

thank you for your effort!

Could Deezer give us a hint on what is so difficult to solve this? I’m in programming/coding but I really can’t imagine. Maybe, the community could help.

It makes me angry to see the android app frontend changed twice in 2019, but not solved gapless playback.

Hey @Lorenzo  @Saschimi ! I am really sorry and I can understand your frustration, yet implementing features or approving new ones is not that easy as it seems and in some cases it’s a process which might need a loner time. I can hear you and I hope that this feature will be approved with the new year. Please make sure you keep on following this thread for further updates.

Thanks a lot for your patience :pray_tone3:
