Enable Elite/HiFi on Squeezebox

I have Hi-Fi subscription. To test, I logged out from the Deezer plug-in on mysqueezebox.com. Re-login. Restart LMS on the local server. It is still playing MP3 @ 320kbps.

Seems to be MP3 320… May be also something should be changed in the Deezer plugin for LMS?

Deezer are much more likely to attract subscribers for their Lossless Elite/Hi-Fi service from Hi-Fi users, rather than from those using mass market devices, which is why Squeezebox should still be of interest. Whilst official Squeezebox hardware is indeed ‘long gone’ the DIY users are probably still growing. Plus there is an increasing amount of 3rd party hardware out there which runs on the Squeezebox platform, because this is the only open-source option available. It also happens to be one of the best which is a testament to both Slim Devices and Logitech who continue to provide some support.

I love you guys! They say that Logitech Media Server since 8.1.0 supports Deezer HiFi. 

Checked it with 8.1.1 version through my hardware player. It really works. Only strange thing -- Deezer Flow goes in MP3 320, but albums from Favorites are in FLAC. 

P.S. Now you should make the native Kodi plugin for Deezer (and Deezer HiFi!!!) and your community may increase twice :)

Finally! Thank you! HiFi works with LMS 8.1.1. Everything in FLAC including Flow.

I use LMS from the beginning. Also Deezer.
Tried HIFI and now with LMS 8.1.1 finaly got FLAC Streaming

Just stumbled upon this news...updating LMS now. If this works, I’ll be really impressed. For a while, it seemed you had no interest in this. Was considering dropping Deezer for another service that supports the Squeezebox platform with lossless. I’m really happy I won’t have to now and look forward to remaining a subscriber.

Do I need to logout Deezer on Squeezebox for it to work? I have hifi subscription, but my Squeezebox Touch still only plays 320kb/s mp3’s no matter what I do. It is running from LMS 8.1.1
