We're currently testing this new exciting subscription offer in a few countries, for existing Deezer HiFi users!

Stay tuned for more info very soon

Hi again @Bergumbira

Please go into your account settings/manage subscription to be able to upgrade from Premium to Family. And if you can't see Family as an option, you need to cancel Premium first.

Hi all,

Just a quick update: our product managers are going to consider exploring this idea during the beginning of next year, due to the demand raised here in the community. Feel free to elaborate on your feedback, it'll be very useful.

And hopefully we can make this happen

This is very good news, I hope the new subscription plan will be available soon. For the last few weeks, I was running in parallel Deezer and another app that provides a  hifi family subscription. I was planning to  remove Deezer after the first free month for the new app expired. Now I will wait to see what happens. I would like to keep Deezer, because I like it  better for its features (mainly its ability to shuffle all downloaded music, but also the change of colours when songs changed). But audio quality is very important and it would not make sense to pay 2 subscriptions, one for my family and another one, hifi, for me. Please let us know when you have fresh info about the matter.

Yes, this inability to mix Family & Hi-Fi baffles me all these years on. Also the fact that as a Premium subscriber through BMW Online Entertainment, I cant even upgrade to a single profile Hi-Fi plan! Deezer is my favourite service (and I’ve tried pretty much all of them), but the plans are really very restrictive.

Even one extra profile would be enough (who the heck needs or uses six apart from people that share subscriptions with their friends?), and it would be fine, even, if the secondary profile wasn’t Hi-Fi or something.

Obviously Deezer is not listening to its customers. We have been asking for a hifi family plan for years and they refuse to do it. It’s not that difficult for them to add it. They just do not want to for some reason. As soon as Tidal or another company gets it I will be dumping Deezer.

In fairness, none of the suppliers do. Tidal offer one, with five profiles, but it’s £30. I don’t think you can have multiple profiles on Amazon HD either.

Perhaps an alternative would be for Deezer to consider, at a time when differentiating yourself & being competitive in a very crowded market is difficult, the ability to tailor your subscription exactly how you want it, rather than just set packages. Who, for example, is ever going to need six profiles? Most would be happy with two, maybe three, four tops (in a family situation anyway - most multi-profile accounts will just be used to share it among friends). You could even offer one hi-fi profile, one standard profile, etc.

All the services are too restrictive on their packages, but also too similar on price & functions to stand out over Spotify for most people (amazingly few people I speak to have even heard of Deezer in this country, let alone tried it). I’d have a think about why that is and why there are so many people like me that would be willing to pay more for extra profiles and / or the Hi-Fi tier, but can’t because of the limited packages on offer (and this applies to all services).

Realising a new combined HiFi Family plan affords new negotiations with the labels, i.e. the licensing rights holders. This will take more time, but may happen in the new year. Meanwhile you can vote for the related idea here in the community, every vote counts like in a real election.

That's right @bluezzbastardzz. Our product owners explained they're interested in this, to be worked on in the new year. Because of our community demand, mostly. So yes, keep on voting

This is great news - thank you.

I have been a premium subscriber for some time, and I have just acquired a SONOS through which I really want to play lossless music (HiFi wasn’t available on my old squeezebox).

Also, my wife now wants an account (just premium, not HIFI) so she can listen on her phone.

And, I have 360 compatible headphones, so I’d love to try that out.

Ideally, I’d like to have one account where I can manage all of this through one discounted payment.

Thank you
