Deezer Connect as debian package for Raspberry Pi streamers.

Unfortunately not. 

I've managed to use the new Audio Cast function of BubbleUPNP to cast Deezer to Moode. Any decent renderer will work. The sound is awesome of course, but it is not as simple as, say, using Volumio with Qobuz or Tidal. 

Upvoted. I'm looking for an alternative for having my phone hooked up to my amplifier and I was under the impression this was already possible by using a Raspberry Pi. Please Deezer..!

@aunetx  has developed the Deezer application for Linux, for the moment for x86, indicating that an ARM version would be possible with some additional effort. The solution has been delivered by @aunetx to Deezer and requires acceptance/officialization.

I’ve created pleezer: an open-source, headless streaming player built around the Deezer Connect protocol. It acts as a remote playback device that can be controlled from the Deezer mobile app. Note that Deezer Connect only works from mobile devices - you cannot control pleezer from desktop apps or the web player.

Important: A paid Deezer subscription is required to use pleezer. The player will not appear as an available device in the Deezer app if you're using a Deezer Free account.

Installation

pleezer can be installed in several ways:

1. Pre-packaged, for example with moOde audio player.
2. Building from Rust crates or source.

pleezer is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or created by Deezer. It is developed to provide a streaming player that is fully compatible with the Deezer Connect protocol.

pleezer does not and will not support saving or extracting music files for offline use. This project is committed to respecting artists' rights and strongly opposes piracy. Users must not use pleezer to infringe on intellectual property rights.

To comply with Deezer’s Terms of Service, no decryption keys are included in the code.

I subscribed to Deezer because of Roderick’s initiative , as Spotify was the only alternative until now. I think Deezer should consider sponsoring or supporting that work.

Package looks great, I have it running and installed on a couple of my moOde players (installed on Raspberry Pi devices with DAC hardware).

I’ve signed up for Deezer Premium, but currently on the “1-month free trial”.

I can’t see either of my moOde devices available on my Deezer app via the Connect function. Could this be because I’m in the free-trial period?

Both my RasPi devices have been in service for 1+ year as headless Spotify/Airplay streamers and work fine with those services, so I’m sure it must just be a set-up issue with the Connect/Pleezer service.

Yes, that could be. pleezer does not decide when remote control over Deezer Connect is allowed or not. It follows what the Deezer servers return as account settings. I’ve received a report like yours before from another Deezer trial user.
